We had raun the first three Days when we came over the first week in Sept, but it was still warm.We never let the weather stop us from having a good time whenever we come to PP x

Yellow Alert for rain and storms!!!

Hola amigos. After heavy rain overnight and earlier this morning, it is now clearing away but we are on yellow alert for storms.
The pressure is 1005.
The UV index is 5.
The humidity is 85%.

Yesterdays low was 20.4c and the high was 27c.

I've just looked at the Stay cam and OMG - the black clouds are really gathering - I just hope they are not practising for when we arrive on Monday

We arrived on the Sat 22 and till Thursday morning it was good,then heavy rain, by the afternoon it was sunny again. Friday was `iffy` so we went to Pollensa on the bus, I guess it was better than walking all the Calvari steps in too much heat.
Saturdays flight home was delayed a long time, incoming flight wasn`t able to land at Palma due to bad weather, so stopped at Minorca till it was safe again. Knock on effect was over 3 hours.
All other flights seemed to come in OK, and the pilot told us on the way home it was his decision. Better safe than sorry I suppose.
Hope all you people travelling soon have good weather, but the sea is still warm and wet whatever !!

Yes very interesting wilcoxon,
I saw that, there was a monarch flight which was heading here from Manchester but started heading towards Menorca!
In the time frame I was looking at there was 10 planes landing before that still in the air and still a fair few landing after the Monarch had diverted. Perhaps the pilot couldn't bare seeing the sight of rain on a Mediterranean island! There could have been more but didn't see any

Oh well, and I'll let sparky fill you in on today's weather...won't go down very well

Yellow Alert for rain and storms!!!

Hola amigos. We had an amazing lightning storm last night, with blue flashes silhouetting the mountains and at one point it must have struck something sending red sparks high up into the sky, went on for hours but the planes were still coming in, i was glad i was not in the air. Now to this morning, in a word, YUCK, heavy rain and a gusty N wind .
The pressure is 1010.
The UV index is 5.
The humidity is 87%.
The sun rises @ 7.45am and sets @ 7.30pm (approx).
The temperature is 18.7c.
Yesterdays low was 18.2c and the high was 27.8c.
