This sounds really bad and apparently part of Mallorca are to see very bad winds too this weekend. I do hope all is ok for you all.

phew yes its stopped TV back on. don't care about next one I pored a very large Brandy during the last one don't care now lol. Just glad I got the grass cut this afternoon when is was dry and sunny

Shoes, Sparky - think you will need waders! Omg, that was quite a storm - never seen anything like it! After a brief lull it is now chucking it down again... We are certainly finding out where the weak spots in our roof are! Hope everyone here is Ok and doesn't have too big a mess to clean up in the morning!

. I only went round the corner to La Roda and got pretty flippin wet.....my feet were not happy about the shoes . Just got back home and it's still raining but the wind has really picked up.
Eleanor i don't think it's going to be a peaceful night, the shutters and windows are already rattling.
P.S. Forgot to add my gizmo has registered 3ins of rain so far tonight!!!.

Oh Gosh! It sounds horrid and 3 inches of rain! I'm sure there will be lots of clearing to do this morning. I hope you managed to get some sleep. Those winds can sound quite scary.
Kate I do hope your roof is ok and not too many problems. I'm worried about my house now too! Such a pity for those on holiday as well of course as well as the restaurants hoping for a final few pennies before the end of season.

Hola amigos, after a very stormy night this morning is bright and partly cloudy. However the NNW wind is howling and we are on yellow alert for high winds and coastal phenomena.
The pressure is 1007.
The UV index is 3.
The humidity is 40%.
The sun rises @ 7.10am and sets @ 5.50pm (approx).
The temperature is 13.7c in the shade and 15.7c in the sun.
Yesterdays low was 12c and the high was 27.2c.

Yes it is a shame for the tourists and businesses
. I have not ventured out yet (don't think i will either ) but i expect there is a lot of debris around, my gizmo recorded 3.6ins of rain in total but i am sure this howling gale will soon dry it all up 
. If anyone here is going out and about today please do take care.

Despite the terrible rain yesterday evening & the strong winds over night & this morning bringing a cold northerly wind, it is gloriously sunny with a blue sky.
I have just finished Sunday lunch at Stay (where I post this from) and, by the long glass French windows, it is ridiculously hot!

The winds have been crazy though. In Calle Llevant, opposite the 'old' post office & a couple of doors up from The Codfather a tree has come down. Some shop signs have also been damaged.

OMWord....we were in the top floor of the Daina last week (got home last night) and that storm on Saturday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thought the roof was going to blow off. The noise from the yachts in the marina was unbelievable.....but i wish i was back in PP!!!!!!!!!!!!

We very nearly booked a short break for this weekend, having had some withdrawal symptoms already. I think we did the right thing in deciding to save the cash and put it towards a longer holiday next year.
