Wow Sparky, you weren't wrong when you told us Feb could be dodgy!! Never mind, it wont last long and the sea will soon twinkle again!! It's 1 deg & bitterly cold here in Poole.

As a precaution I have added a woolly hat and a scarf and taken two flowery shirts out of my suitcase to save weight.
Wife says my shirts where too summery anyway, have sneaked one in though

It has been grim today.

Woke up this morning to sideways rain, ventured out for food shopping to Eroski and a drive along the seafront to Alcudia, so cold and windy not even the kite surfers where out.
The waves where probably big enough to surf on without a kite.

Looks like most of the locals have hibernated today as everywhere has been quiet.

The first time I have actually been really cold here and seen my breath in the cold.

A little bit of sleety snow in the old town earlier this evening while walking back from Scacco Matto after a good meal with my wife.

Snuggled up now in our rental villa that has double glazing and central heating just like home

Hola amigos. It is a better start than yesterday with temps a bit higher but it's mostly cloudy and quite windy. Yellow alerts for snow storms and CP are still in effect and an amber alert for snow has been issued for tomorrow .
The pressure is 1010.
The humidity is 63%.
The sun rises at 7.30am and sets at 6.35pm approx.
The temperature is 8.8c.

Three roads closed by snow in Mallorca

The System d'Emergències 112 Balearic Islands this morning reported that three roads are closed by snow in Mallorca.
They are the - Ma-10-Fornalutx Pollença Pk of 6 to 47.5, the Ma-2141 Pk Sa Calobra of 0 to 12.77, and the Ma-2130 KP-Lluc Caimari 7 to 15.

It has actually not been as bad as the forecasters had said, the sun came out for a while and it was almost balmy at 12c .

At the moment the extended forecast on Accuweather is saying it will be good for the first week in March but not so good for the 2nd and 3rd weeks but long range forecasting is not usually very accurate.

Hola amigos. This morning is calm and partly cloudy but the sun is out at the moment, it was a very cold start to the day but it's warming up nicely now although there is still a yellow alert for snow storms . Looks like rain for Thu/Fri but quite good for the weekend.
The pressure is 1017.
The humidity is 84%.
The temperature is 7.3c in the shade and 15c in the sun.
Yesterdays low was 3c and the high was 12c.

This weather is reminding me of why we came to live in this beautiful island the positive is that it only lasts for the winter season we can look forward to pleasant spring when summer and beautiful autum. In Scotland it lasts thru the year. With the occassional period of sunshine.
Wrap up friends wont belong to we are in the spring.

Definitely more than just a sprinkling there. Today, in Scotland we have a lovely sunny morning....that's not to say of course that there won't be rain.....or snow before the days's out. The joys of having 4 seasons in one day Roll on July for some real sunshine!
