Just clicked on the daily bulletin and the temp said -1.
Also looked at the web cam and you can see that the sea almost made it to the wall by the path overnight. yikes!
Bear in mind that there is already a bank of sand washed-up close to the sea that has built up more than 50cms. The waves overcame that.

Yes, this happens most years during the winter storms. I remember when half of the beach used to end up on the road but the wind breaks really do work well and help to prevent that now
. Things have calmed down now but more stormy days are forecast from Sunday
