Drove along the coast road towards Alcudia this afternoon about 3'ish and there was a huge tree half way across the road in Llenaire that had blown down. The emergency services were clearing it away. I wouldn't be surprised if many more trees go but it was far to windy to even attempt a walk to inspect the damage. It literally nearly blew me over It's still blowing an absolute hoolie at 9pm.

Hopefully it will have calmed down by tomorrow as we're meant to be going to Mortitx for wine tasting and lunch...down fancy that mountain road if the weather is like today's has been!!!

Yes it is seriously dangerous out there isn't it Debz, i have just checked out the forecast for tomorrow and i am afraid there are still alerts out for high winds and CP, please be very careful if you do venture up that mountain .

Pollensa.—Pollensa was in the eye of the storm yesterday as gale force winds of up to 120kmh swept through the area causing some damage.
Boats anchored in the Bay slipped their moorings while the fire brigade received scores of calls from householders to remove debris which had fallen in the high winds.
The Palma Met Office had placed northern Majorca on yellow alert on Monday night for high winds and Minorca was put on red alert.
Across the island freezing temperature led to a surge in demand for electricity as householders put on their central heating to fight the cold snap.
