Music in the Port

We felt we mush share our experience from last night.Returning from a sundowner at Il dor we notice a guitarist setting up in the Lemon bar just opposite our appt. By the time we were sitting on the balcony we had the said guitarist attempting to be Mark Knoffler, the last of the Mohicans ( well there was only one) playing his pan pipes, joined then by everybodys favorite, the resident roaming accordionist. Bang on time at 9pm, as they do every night, the huge flock of sparrows then came to roost in the palm trees outside our balcony adding there shrill song to the rising racket. By the time the nice street vendor with his "Duck Call " whistles joined in the accumulated sound resembled an AC>DC> L>P> being played at 78 rpm in reverse needless to say we went to bed. Only in Mallorca but we love it.
 
Should have been in Guru listening to the Fat Cats !!An excellent evening and a very nice meal as well

Tonite off to Panorama to hear John Lynam Trying for some music most evenings

Just posted on FB, Jaume Mas will be playing live at Bar Embat on Wednesday 8th, you may remember Jaume, he is from Pollenca, you may have seen him around, and was on La Voz which was the Spanish version of the show The Voice!

Saturday 10th October at Rosa Blanca pub, "Floyd Pink", a one man tribute to the fabulous Pink Floyd!, performed by Derek Holt(climax blues band). Starts about 9pm.
 
If anyone fancies something different, the Music Makers are performing songs from West End and Broadway shows. 7.30 pm on Friday in the Vecinos (Associacion de Veins ) Calle Mestral. Admission with drinks and nibbles 5 euro. Money raised goes to charity.
 
Saw Derek Holt with John Lynam at Rosa Blanca in June and they were great

So hopefully next year when we come out there will be more music !

It was a fantastic evening. Guillermo played low-key music till everyone had finished eating and then he upped the tempo quite a bit until just about everyone in the restaurant and vicinity was dancing away. Fabulous evening - and I have to say really good food at El Casinet too!

John Lynam........................Sunday 4.00pm till 8.00pm.

Great night at Tots last night with The Hustlers.
This is to be a regular Friday at 9:30 (at least until they return to O'Hara's)
Today, Fat Cats Jazz outside Rumbo at 4:00
Tomorrow Sunday there will be John Lynam at Tots from 5:00, and open mike at Bareño (Club del Sol) from 3:00
Wednesday sees Guillermo atvTots from 8:00
Thursday has Pete McDonna at Mulligans
What great winter entertainment.... :cool:

Support local live music else it will cease!! :eek:
 
Jealous !

Hope all this great music continues and if we were out we would be at all of those venues !

That may be of some interest. We went to Tots for many years, but were disappointed on our return in September. However, Gordy, you say it is now "New Look" - what's it like now then?

Sorry to build your hopes up about a new look...a beerexageration!! ;)

They have moved the beer pumps onto the Kitchen counter and are using the old bar as a seating area....a "work in progress" at the mo.

The music is the important thing :cool:
 
Guillermo (and friends) will be strumming his stuff at Tots on Wed 6th January 2016 and The Hustlers will be performing there on Friday 8th Jan 2016. :)
