New online guide to the Tramuntana

By Francisco Cortez

A new online guide with over 70 gastronomic, hand craft, cultural and tourist suggestions and products from the Tramuntana region were yesterday officially launched. The official presentation of the new web site was made in the presence of the Council of Majorca Councillor for Presidential Affairs, Jaume Juan and the manager of the consortium which represents the UNESCOWorld Heritage site of the Tramuntana, Bartomeu Deya.

“The aim of this project is to bring residents and tourists closer to some of the best products the 19 municipalities in the region have to offer,” the councillor said.

The new web site, Serra de Tramuntana Patrimonio Mundial , is translated in to English, Castilian and Catalan, and contains detailed information about every product on offer including its manufacturers.

Users of the new online guide will also have the option of searching for their preferred product using a filter to choose the manufacturer, type of product or its denomination of origin.

Its above the 'Nature' tab on the nav bar: CAT ES UK DE

I've looked at the site on the mobile and the language options don't display there.

Might be necessary to select the option 'Request desktop site' on the browser - if possible.

I use chrome browser on my mobile and desktop pc as it automatically translates sites which is useful when you cant find the translate button.

It is a free download for Andriod phones and Windows, not sure about iphones.

Also really useful for online shopping as you can buy many items a lot cheaper than in the UK on European websites etc especially with the Euro rate the way it is :)

Good site, UK logo on top right of page.
