We used Club Direct (www.clubdirect.com) and got an annual Europe police for two adults and a child for £56.00.
Seemed a good deal to me!

We have used American Express in the past and had to claim and they were very good indeed.
We are with Norwich Union now however it cost more as we have annual worldwide and skiing on and we like small excesses, for four of us £114.96, probably not what youwant to hear!

Penny I go climbing when I'm in PP so believe me nothing suprises me, the cost covering that is beyond belief.

Oh I've got TI of course. I don't need to reply.
TI never bother with that nonsense what do I need that for. Nothing going to happen to me.
It's private I'm not going to tell what it costs.
And so on!
How many reading this travel without insurance? I know people who I am pretty sure did it often thinking they were "bulletproof". Then in later years needed medical care in the Med and also Mexico or USA. And weren't half glad they had good cover.
So "own up" and tell us!
Beware too of Travel Agents' Free Insurance. Thinking all is well you may not be covered on a lot of items particularly Medical because of undeclared conditions.
Dont need it? Well heard last week of someone who'd been in Majorca for a week and spent five days in hospital getting out the day of return home. Fortunately well insured.
And as Rob has explained in "European Health Insurance Card" today, you MUST at present have an up to date E111 form to be superceeded by the EHIC. On the application form for the E111 you tick a box and the new EHIC will come to you automatically. Ours took just under four months.
Go to your Post Office today and fill it up and get it stamped!! As easy as that! And take photo copies!!

You need individual E111s this year too, before they get transformed into cards.
Having a fearless adventurous teenage son we have had to make claims quite a few years, which is why we don't stint on TI, some of them have big excesses and you do find most minor things (infected ears from grotty swimming pools etc) by the time you have got the medication is about £50.
I clouted myself with a car door and needed stitching up on a Saturday evening in Menorca, thank god I was there rather than my local A&E! Private medicine is so civilised.
You just never know what might happen.....

Just back on the forum after an extended stay in PP - whilst there one twisted ankle (Alcudia private hospital). Both hospital and Sainsbury Bank (Halifax I think) brilliant. Annual family (4) cover £115 with £35 xs. Sainsbury are the only Company I could find to cover our 20 year old daughter under the family cover (most stop at 18) due to the fact she is still in full time education.

Insure and go annual multi trip for £88 and kids are free. we always use them and service is good. try at www.insureandgo.com they will even payout if a budget airline goes bust which alot won't.As i am in the business i tend to read the small print!!!! boring i know.
