When we were last in the Port I noticed that Schleker which is opposite THe Codfather in Clle Llevant have a lot of travel sized toiletries at reasonable prices which you might find useful if only bringing hand luggage. I think they do suncreams there too and probably wont be any dearer than in the uk

That's a good idea

Marilyn

Never thought of that I suppose there is a market for everything now.

cheers

I'm pretty sure Boots sell all the mini range stuff? Sure I've seen it at my local airport, Stansted.

Also remember that Eroski home brand are very good value and recommended. Good enough to use and cheap enough to throw! Now there's a slogan! lol :)

And good enough to take home and finish off, even!

Am I imagining it or did we have a post last year about recycling unwanted suncream, shower gel and shampoo? All this talk again has reminded me, was it going to a womens refuge or something, anyone else remember?:confused:

Don't remember the post but sounds like a really good idea. I am sure someone will have a contact.

We bought sun cream from Lidl last week, I needed some urgent factor 50 for my burnt neck and shoulders.
think it was 3.99 or 4.99

Reasonably priced and good enough to take home if you have a suitcase.

To save anyone searching all of lidl for it, it is in a display stand near the tills at the end of an aisle.

Found it, Mary's post from a while ago, glad I wasn't imagining it, perhaps someone could confirm this is still the case, would be a great way to re use excess toiletries and save on land fill!

Yes, the Salvation Army shop in PP is a great find. It's just down from the Multi-hire shop. As well as the shop selling second-hand clothes, linen, beach toys, bric-a-brac and household things, they also have a shop next door selling second hand furniture.
The staff there are really friendly and the prices are great. They are also happy to take in items that you no longer need - and that includes unused shampoo, shower soap, etc which they then donate to a refuge in Palma. There's little point taking odds & ends like that back on your flight, after all!
So, all in all, it's a great place to take unwanted items to donate for sale and also to pick up some great bargains!

I am afraid that the Salvation Army shop is now closed :(.

As the original staff now run the Alan Graham Charity shop they may collect. I will try and find out.

Yes Boots do it along with Waitrose now who have more of a range on offer, they do small suncreams as well but at £5.99 for 100ml works out very expensive, but useful to carry around in a handbag for children I suppose. :)
