Tree down on pine walk

Very sad sight this morning a Lovelly old pine tree has split and half if it fallen down just near little Italy ..... I do hope no one was injured
Hopefully they may be able to save the rest of the tree. For those of you who remember it it is a really big tree much like thf one that used to grow outside little Italy when it was the coach house

We do too - We have some lovely old photos of my wife as a child on holiday in the 70's/80's, and the Coachhouse, the pinetree and beach outside it all feature heavily. I'm sure that it was theirs (and many others) favourite spot!

Lets hope it can be saved, the little things that get planted to replace them just aren't the same...

Does anyone know when the pinetrees date back to? Where they all planted all around the same time and by whom?

Well LM they may not be the same but they all started this way!
In fact there are quite a few pines that have been planted in recent years (between I'lla D'or and 'the base' If I remember correctly) and they were doing very well the last time I saw them. Very pleased that you, amongst several others, are 'very fond' of such trees.
