We have arrived back from 2 weeks in PP 26/7 - 9/8.

If anyone is interested we joined this 50 ft yacht for an evening sail to the next bay. Lasted 3 hours . We swam in the sea from the anchorage point (buoyancy jackets supplied), then had Tapas/drinks, and returned to the Port against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset. Cost for two adults/2 children approx EUR200. Whilst not cheap, it was a wonderful way to spend an evening. The yacht is owned/crewed by Simon and Susie, an English couple who have been based in the Port for 13 years. I forgot to bring home the contact details but they park a People Carrier in one of the side roads off the Pine Walk and a Black Moped at the entrance to the Marina (near Stay) with the details.

Definitely worth a look

Sounds idyllic. I have seen the flyers about the port but never really considered it seriously. Maybe when the weans are a wee bit older.

There is also, appart from Tudor Dawn, the Robinson boat and Cat, for bigger parties. And then there is also Miami Sun, but that is purely a motorboat!

Maimi sun

Where do I find out more about this ?

I thought I would resurrect this old thread as my 10 year old son Jonny and I went on a Tudor Dawn Sunset Cruise last week. So I thought I'd do a review.

Words can’t describe how lovely this was. Susie and Simon are a lovely couple. They are both wonderful hosts and made Jonny and I (plus the 5 other people on our cruise) feel extremely welcome and at home.

Simon captains the boat while Susie got the kids – Jonny and 2 lovely girls, Zola and Zoe who were about Jonny’s age – to help with the rigging and stuff:

We then set sail and zoomed across the bay towards the lighthouse. It was amazing just how fast the boat could travel just on wind power! After an hour or so of sailing around the bay we headed for the same cove that Jonny scuba-dived in last year to set anchor.

We then all dived in to the water and swan and snorkelled for a bit. Equipment was provided although Jonny and I had our own.

Susie then laid on some wonderful tapas (and ham sandwich for Jonny) while we watched the sunset behind the mountains. If I have been more relaxed than at that moment I can’t remember it! It was wonderful!

All too quickly the sun set behind the mountains and we upped anchor and headed back to port. We arrived having had an amazing experience and one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely, relaxing cruise with great hosts, food, drinks and views. Simply stunning in fact. So if you are heading to PP I would recommend you book a cruise with the Tudor Dawn.

Fantastic photos Simon, have you ever thought about taking it up professionally, only joking, had a look at some of the others, would love to hear about your trip to the football!! Always a highlight to see your pics, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Pollensa. To make it easier for me to post photos would it be possible for you to increase the maximum number of photos per post up from 4 please? It is a bit restrictive.

That is the most gorgeous sunset photo I've seen, Simon:)

Thanks Rosie - it was even more special live!

I didn't realise that it was set! I've changed it to 6. If you need more, just split them among posts. I think that's best, otherwise they'll take up a lot of space on the screen. Hope that's OK? Zelda.

Ah, thanks Zelda, that will help a lot. I only discovered that it was set to 4 when I tried to post more than 4 and a message popped up telling me 4 was the max!

I've got more photos to post but bed calls so I'll post them tomorrow.
