Have just returned from a two week hot in the old town. Although we did not visit Il Giardino it was quite clear to see that it's still very popular. However, I have read various reviews here and on TA suggesting standards have slipped etc. I've been aware for many years that the restaurant and the Can Olesa (next door) were owned by the same family, and I was told by a local waiter friend that this is still the case. This was confirmed yesterday when I read a review in TA in response to a review - Quote: " ....It makes us really happy you still had a nice time at our restaurant despite the rumours that have been published on social media. We would like to let you know the restaurant has not changed hands for the last 25 years, the management is the same as always. The only thing that has changed is the menu (which has been refreshed after many years) and staff."
