Good afternoon all..
Stumbled upon this forum as I was searching for a place to stay in Puerto Pollensa...
I'm looking for value accommodation for myself for 9 or maybe 10 nights from this Sunday 29th August, being single tends to push the costs up hence if anyone can suggest a studio apartment or good value decent hotel I would very much appreciate any ideas?
Would like to be near the resort centre if at all possible...
Oh and I'm a 47 yr old male so doubt wether a hostel type room would suit me..
Anyway if you can assist please drop me a line.
Many thanks,
Rob.
OH and advice on value transfers also welcome, thanks.

Hi Wales... I am just back and am yet to add my trip report. Not sure about accomodation. However hotel Sis Pins on the Pine Walk had a sign out the front last week about special offers.
As for transfers.. Resorthoppa all the way. I travelled with 9 people and used the discount code I found on here, the total cost was £115 return which only worked out to be about £6 per person each way. There are a few posts on here about it and I found it really efficient..

Thanks for the rapid reply...time is against me!

I emailed Sis Pins yesterday thinking they may be offering some sort of deal after coming across an advert of theirs on eBay?

However I received a response suggesting a price of 50 euro per night!

Perhaps you can understand if staying for 10 nights why I may feel its a little over my budget!

Flights are very cheap for me but spending 500 euro on a room hurts a little!

Thanks again though.
Rob.

defo try resorthoppa though Rob.. I have 5 kids so tried to save money when i could. The resorthoppa and the eroski supermarket were my biggest savings. Good luck and enjoy!!

oh have you tried hostel singula. Its right down the pine walk and although its called a hostel it looked lovely

Why don't you try a studio apt - I've just had a quick look at our Last Minute Rentals in Puerto Pollensa page & there seem to be some there. Also try searching on youir dates at the main Puerto Pollensa Rentals Page as there may be others there as well.

Smaller hotels are also featured on Hotels, Apartments - Puerto Pollensa (Port de Pollenca), Mallorca Majorca

& for transfers see http://www.puertopollensa.com/transport-taxis-bus-trains.html#shuttles including a discount voucher for ResortHoppa.

Just tried alpha rooms for your dates, Eolo has a room for £260 B n B

Alpha Rooms

Thanks Pollensa and thanks Gordon,

I emailed Eolo direct on Sunday they confirmed no availability, thought about booking it via the alpha website but worrried about turned away on arrival?

Have you tried Villa Concha. I'm sure they have some studio apartments. There are also some studion/one bedroom apartments on this site, but don't know what the availability is at this late stage. Hope you get something to suit:)

Try La Goleta for B&B, right on the front and they do single rooms, not sure about cost but excellent place to stay, they are on this web-site.

Hiya wales,
try this link:
Hostal Paris in Mallorca, Spain - Find Cheap Hostels and Rooms at Hostelworld.com
It would appear they have accom for about 135 euros with a slight hiccup on the tuesday nite ? lol... but if it is of interest to u.. give them a call.. u will get an english speaker ( or should do ! )
best of luck

Miriam

ps... if it looks ok... then I would get their fone number and call direct as well and see if they will do u a deal... its that sorta place ! lol

Hi.
Try Motos Formentor on 0034971865492 they have one bedroom appartments, but dont know what availability they have.

I would not worry about being turned away. Hotels often sell some of their capacity to other operators. It is very likely that you will find a number of sites offering accomodation there. Normal practice in the travel business.

Adios

Well worth a try, i have heard very good things about this place and they also now have a vegetarian restaurant which i believe is very good.

Thanks to all for your replies, a little gutted as I now have to work next week :-(
However I will be travelling sometime in Sept so will follow up on your valued suggestions.
Regards,
Rob.
