Villa advise for a newbie please

Only just joined this forum, think it is really good and full of useful information. I am looking to book a villa for August 2011 in the Puerto Pollensa/ alcudia area, I have been looking on owners direct website but after looking on here I decided to look at the villas to rent here as I though this might be a safer option. I have found a few that are really reasonably priced but after searching for more information on the villas I have found quite a few bad reviews on one of the villas!!

I am really confused now at where to look as this is me and my husbands first holiday abroad with my 3 year old son and 1st time in Majorca, I want to make sure everything is perfect.

Can anybody give me any advise about where to look for a villa, I am on a budget.

Hi Longess and welcome. You say you have read bad review on ONE of the villas. There are lots more advertised that I am sure you would find suitable for you holiday. Also, dont disregard apartments as they would also be a good option and good value for money for just the 3 of you. Happy hunting, its all part of the fun!
