Hi,

Has anyone used this book by Charles Davis?

I have the Sunflower book for Mallorcan walks but I am looking for more short walks in the Pollensa/Tramontana area for amateurs with children (the latter having stamina which runs out after 3 hours max but may be spurred on by the promise of ice cream or cake at the end of each walk).

Any reviews would be welcome.

Thanks,
I have bought both map and book from Amazon who are selling the new edition at a very good price (with free postage to "Prime" customers!)
Can't wait to try some walks out in 5 weeks time. Let's hope it's not a white Christmas in Mallorca

Mark,

Just looked at your photos! beautiful.

We did some of the walks in the book. Our favourite was L'Havanor refuge on the Mortitz estate. We did that one on 28/12. Perfect blue sky, no one but us on the walk and temps of up to 22 degrees, oh perfect.
We also did the Boquer valley, Unfortunatley there was a fresh dead goat on the beach and a little kid bleating fot it's mummy, heart wrenching.

A very gentle but beautiful walk was the one at Campanet, around the Fonts de Ufanes, we only met locals on that walk, the springs were in full force and once again fantastic weather on 29th December! Cant wait for April to try out some more adventurous walks.

Hi, over the years I have used Charles Davis's DWG Books & Maps and have always found them to be accurate and descriptive with a pinch of wit thrown in.

I have also used the Sunflower guides but much prefer DWG

Take care
