weather... (end Sept/early Oct)

I know it is very "crystal ball" and unpredictable but what is the weather like end of September early October? I was reading on another site about torrential rain and complete wash-outs so am a little worried as elsewhere I'd read that the weather whilst obviously cooler was still quite nice.

If it's any consolation to you Ali, we go to PP every year for several weeks, at the end of September and early October. For the past few years, it's usually very warm up to the end of the first week of October then it cools off a little. There is usually a couple of rainy days over the whole of the period we are there but on the whole, the sun shines for most of the time.

Late Sept last year we were swimming off a boat in the sea and it was wonderfully warm, need I say more!

thanks so much!! Last years weather sounds perfect and my fears are lessened just had a panic but i'm sure it'll be a great trip even if we did have a bit of rain thanks again

I've just booked a week at The Miramar for mid October.
This will be our 9th visit in 7 years and all of them,except for our June visit this year,have been mid Sept-Mid Oct.Last October was the coolest and wettest we have ever had,although I would say that in an average 7 days at that time of the year you are likely to get a couple of days of showers,or maybe a few hours of rain,and the rest of the time would be mainly sunny with temperatures in the low 70's.It'll be better than gales and rain with 50 degree temps in Cheshire anyway.
