I had a very disturbed night was woken at 03:30 by a thunderstorm and heavy rain, it had knocked the power out and rumbled on for ages. We have just had another one.
Anyway the weather is not good today, it's very cloudy, damp and breezy. The temperature is 21c so at least it's not cold.

Thanks Sparky. This is brilliant. we, too, have lots of friends to stay at our place at this time of year. So it's always good to know how the weather is. Strangely, they seem to think rain is OUR fault!!!!!

Well yesterdays storm rumbled on for hours and dumped 5mm of rain on us .
This morning it is 24c, breezy and very overcast with storms being forecast throughout the day, i will keep you posted .

Great to have your 'on-the-spot' local forecasts Sparky, but are your rainfall figures correct?
5mm (storm rumbled on for hours), equates to just less than a quarter of an inch!
This follows the previous '2mm of rain in 30 minutes' which equates to less than one eighth of an inch!
I still like your general info, as do other readers of the site.

I don't profess to be a meteorologist, i have a simple weather station on my balcony and take temperatures and rainfall figures from that. When i said the storm went on for hours i meant the thunder and lightning, the rain was intermittent.
All i am trying to do is give PP lovers an idea of what is happening while the webcam is offline.

It looks like it will be a day of sunny periods and thundery showers, 23c.
