Thanks for getting me to check the view, I have neglected it lately as I have been getting burnt in the garden (in NE England!!!) honest!!

Unfortunately the elderly mothers are no longer a pleasure, but we have 3 elderly cats, all sisters, all diferent, 16.5 years old, one with hyperthyroidism and megacolon, another diabetic, and the third just frets while we are away and licks all her fur off!!.

However with the acupuncture, homoeopathic remedies, chiropractic manipulation and lots of love (all for the cats I have to say!!) we hope to venture out in April. (flights and car booked) But we are in the hands of the almighty!!! as to making it.

We cancelled two trips last year because of cat illness!! but did make it out in Feb and August.

Wonderful to see the tables out, that'll be Corbe Marie not the Tex Mex tables.

Beautiful sunset colours on the mountains across the bay at La Victoria and Talia de Aklcudia......Cant wait....

There are stalls opposite the web cam!!

Is it the Diada del Caçador - Hunters Fair

Would have loved to be there instead of Sunderland, not interested in the football!! (S/land home game today) or the TV!

I suppose I've had a good day in the garden, got burnt yesterday!! but not today, much duller.

Pollensa Town Webcam

I have had some trouble lately getting the Pollensa town cam to come up whereas the Port cam works perfectly. Is it me or is there some problem?

Its not you it didnt work for us on Sunday.Just keep trying.Every day you do is another day closer to being there,and etting watched by someone else who wishes they were where you are.

I believe it moves every time the cleaner picks it up to dust, sometimes it is also out of focus. I have emailed their office in the past and this is what they told me.

Had a look this morning, don't think the tables/chairs are the Corbi, looks more like our old freind Mr Tex-Mex?

The Tex Mex chairs don't usually stretch that far!! And they are not usually open this early, lots of places like this often don't open until Easter weekend at the earliest this far along the pinewalk!! Whereas Corb Mari is a more traditional place and usually opens earlier than the "pile them high sell them cheap" restaurants!!! Maybe they are claiming their ground in advance of the season!!!!


From the style of chair I think its Corb Mari.

Frankly, I have never eaten there or at the Tex Mex, Am I missing something?

The web cam seems to be pointing more to the left towards Ila Dor/Airbase!! at the moment.

Hooray ! at last I have seen the web cam.
As I usually dont log in till evening I am always left feeling envious when I read what u guys have posted about the webcam and then never remeber to look the next day ! but at last I did, and it was great... from the guy who left the red sweater ( I think ) under the table at the port to the guy getting grief from what looked like a parking warden (?) in the old town !

Move over corrie... I have a new vice ! lol

I stand corrected In all my years i can never recall Corbi mar having tables outside, always thought this area was all Tex-Mex. So glad they're not yet open, any chance of making this permanent?

Web cams offer live on-line pictures of Majorcan beaches
STAFF REPORTER
SPECIAL web cams have been set up on a selection of Majorcan beaches so that tourists across the world can click on line and see that everything is completely “normal” on the island following the recent attacks by Basque terrorist group ETA and that tourist services are operating as usual.
The cameras have been set up by technicians working for the Institute for Tourism (Inestur) which reports to the regional Ministry for Tourism.
The beaches chosen to set up the installations, which include a small computer and a link to connect it to the internet, are at Cala d’Or, Cala Millor, Playa de Palma, Palmanova-Magalluf and the Port of Alcudia.

The equipment has been set up on the flat terrace roofs on top of hotels to provide the best birds-eye views of the beaches. Work on installation began last Monday and was completed on Thursday after technical hitches were finally solved.

Next week, the cameras will become operative following an official presentation to be organised by the ministry for Tourism.

Haven't been able to get on the webcam from Barnard Hamilton for weeks now - every time I checked it was down so just gave up in the end. Home early today from work and just having a flick about and it came on. This has cheered me up no end as it looks lovely weather and a fair few people sat at the tables at Corb Mari. I should be there in four weeks time so I shall start my ironing and keep having a wistful look...

Thanks for this Rob and Donna. It seems that the BHI webcam is still not working. I cannot stand that awful music on Riusech's site. I'm afraid I just click off. I find the music and the dull photo depressing. Just my opinion.

The sail and surf always seems to work which is great. Looks as if the weather is not so nice at the moment. That wind seems strong and it looks bit stormy.

I agree it's great to click in to see the island. At least once a day is my usual fix!
