I really don't believe it !!!
Not having flown Easyjet for about four or five weeks now, was astonished on board the flight yesterday to the UK Stansted to discover they had got into bed with the Devil !!!. " Boutique" leaflet plastered all over with "We're proud to brew Starbucks Coffee " .
Not only had the ignominy of landing in Essex ( no offence, Pollensa ) but how much more can we take ??
Where is all this corporate sponsorship gonna end up ??
Are we , shortly, going to see the pilot wearing an Exxon jacket ? ( That'll drive the Green lobby into a frenzy ) . Maybe the sickbags covered with " Supplied by Alka Selzter " ?? or the lifejackets emblazoned with " Supplied by the Samaritans " ??
So being an awkward b***er, I asked the pretty flight attendent, when the trolley eventually reached me , what they meant by being proud to serve Star*ucks.
" Dunno, mate " He replied . " We just kinda slop the boiling water into the papercups like we did with Nescafe a few weeks ago !!! ".
As you all know, we have a saying here in the UK " Pride before a fall" .
Should be renamed " Pride before a fool !!! ".
Cos the top and bottom of this " Proudly serving Starbucks coffee" is that the price has increased by about 30p a cup, an increase, I reckon of over 15% !!!
Bit of a warning, I think here , folks.
