Hi
I am trying to find out the name of apartments at the Pine Walk end of PP.
I think that it is at end of the Formentor Rd past the Singala and the turn to the Illa D'or and it is on the left as you travel towards the Military Barracks. I think it is an Aparthotel. I think it is just at the roundabout where you can swing up to the new ring road.
It is very much at the end of the PW but not on the sea front.
Any ideas? If so do you know what it is like? Does it do 2 bed aparts etc.
We met a family who staying there this year and they said it was really good for children etc.
Any help would be great
thanks
Killian

Whats it called?

Hi
I think it sounds like it might be the Playa Mar that you are talking about. I don't know about two bedroom appartments but it is a Thompson Superfamily aparthotel so I imagine they would have them. Hope this helps.
Girlie.

Re: Whats it called?

My sister stayed there a couple of times (at the Playa Mar) and it was very nice. Bit of a trek into town though. Is a pretty walk along the Pine Walk but have heard people complaining when pushing a buggy as the Pine Walk is not exactly smooth tarmac!

Re: Whats it called?

thanks everyone....ye are all correct.....but don't think they do 2 bedroom apts by the look of it:\
may end up with villa abroad down the PW again:D but was trying to get somewhere with a bit of entertainment for 6 and 10 year old :eek for next year somewhere down that end of PP but with a bit of space ie not the Ora Playa (as good as it is there, 1 bed is just too cramped)
anyway will keep looking
thanks again (especially my old mate jiggy)

When ours was young we would stay in a more spacious villa / appt but go to the Ora playa a couple of evenings a week for the Kiddie disco

So long as you are buying at the bar they don't mind

For the daytime , we found the aps pool ( nowhere near as busy as Ora Playa so the kids can actually swim init and then a fishing net, bucket and spade and the pinewalk beach with all the hermit crabs and the like was plenty entertainment in itself

I certainly woudn't sacrifice a nice 3 or 4 bed appt ( where you all get a real bed and privicy ) for a 1 bed box where either kids or parents end up sleeping on sofas in the lounge just for the sake of a kiddie disco ..... also think the kids get stacks of entertainment playing on the beach with other s in teh early evening and also joining in the fun in the square .... who needs a dodgy disco when you can chase after Jose's sweets !
