What shall we do while the rain is persisting down ?

We're off to San Vicente (for the first time) on Saturday 6th and it looks fairly likely that it will be damp to start with at least.

We have two young daughters (aged 5 and 2). Firstly, are there any film rental shops locally or in Pollensa ? Secondly, does anyone have any other suggestions for activities to keep us all happy ?

I apssed a DVD rental store in the same street as the Post Office in PP which said "we hire out english speaking DVDs"

What about visiting some of the caves in the area. There's the obvious Caves of Drach across the other side of the island, but what about the more local 'Coves' at Campenet. Never been myself, but heard its quite interesting!

Thanks for the suggestions - the caves certainly sound a good idea.

Does anyone know if the sea temperature is bearable at this time of year too ? Or is there ice floating on the surface ?

Not quite ice but it can be pretty bracing :eek

Living in Bournemouth, I can vouch that the sea is definitely warmer than here.

You can go to some bar with a big glass and attend that the rain stop. Then will be a very good moment to go out and smell the street rained. May be in few minutes the sun will begin go out.

Just a quickie. Dont try the caves if its raining really really hard, they will be closed as it can be quite dangerous in some cases - rain seeps down remember (!) and can cause slippery areas.
