Lol!!!...funny you ask that Nick because one of the pilots is a woman and they all often have lunch in El Posito during the summer ;):D.

I would love to read these articles but unfortunately my knowledge of spanish does not extend that far. Please can you tell me how to use Google translate, is it just a matter of opening Google translate and then copying and pasting?

Yes Whaley, thats what I do, it gets it close but not always perfect

I do the same for some things but also have it on my toolbar which is quicker as you don't need to copy/paste all you do when you are reading something is click on the icon and it translates it automatically.

I shall give that a try, sounds much easier, thanks Sparky.

Hola WW

When I select the text (highlite it) a blue box arrow appears next to the selection. When I left click on this blue box I get a menu which includes translate with Bing. By selecting it it automatically pastes the text and translates it!!

If the translate menu item does not appear, there is another which says "ALL Accelerators" which includes a load of options of what you want to do with your selection.;)

Try it it is not as difficult as it sounds!!

Fantastic Gordon, you can do it with the whole webpage, just click on one of Sparky's links or while on a webpage you need to translate just right click the page and choose 'Translate with live search' which is powered by Microsoft, it will translate the whole page, brilliant if you spend as much time as I do trying to scan through Spanish language sites, this will save me hours, thanks everyone, this forum is brilliant for helping with all queries, even non PP ones, well done! :)

Translating Google translations can be a game in itself sometimes. But it is fast and you do get the gist of it, if not the finer points! :o

WOW Thats even easier than what I was suggesting!!

You are never too old to learn ;)

It is easier but have you compared the bing translation to google yet? Not done it myself but would be an interesting exercise on a long article, and when you have time to spare!

Ooer missus, just did the translation on my laptop and as BD says mine showed this "bing" thing, whatever that is.Reading it is exactly like listening to a Spaniard with a 90% grasp of English..................v funny !!!

Oh, and btw, before anyone complains, I can hardly speak any Spanish so I'm more than grateful when they do their best in English.

I am happy with Google so will stick with that until something better comes along, things often get slightly lost in translation so, each to their own .
Hopefully, tomorrow there will be something of interest relating to our area in the news and we will get back on topic ;).
