As a follow up to the previous post i have been surfing the net to find out more about the building in the last picture, it's the disused carpet factory which is now a ruin and there has been a lot of debate locally about it.
Anyway i found this video, i know it's not in english but there are some great photos and film of Can Morato :- Antiga fàbrica de catifes Can Morató de Pollença - Vìdeo Dailymotion

P.S. Here is another one Can Morató 2010 - IB3 - YouTube

Hope you don't mind Sparky that I placed your researched webpage as a comment on the Photo Blog? without giving you the credit!! :o

Its very interestiing to be able to see the inside of the building. But so sad that the owners have just let it crumble. Such a huge building would need an astronomical amount of money to set it up as somethiing productive again, and its just not going to happen is it. At least it is being documented now for history.

Very true Bella, it is sad because i would imagine it was a beautiful looking building originally, almost too beautiful to be a factory ;). I suppose it will eventually be demolished to make way for more apartments .

I aim to please Gordon ;). I love the Daily PhotoBlog, they send me an email every day which is great because sometimes i forget to check out other sites and then i miss out on what could be something of great interest.:D

Re. Sparky's earlier post post. Train / Bus Fares - Price Hike.
Bus / Train Fares up - on average - between 39% and 58%.
Also, petrol and diesel prices increased for 6th time this year.
Petrol - 95 Octane E1.44/L (£1-16/L)
Petrol - 98 Octane E1.55/L (£1.25/L)
Diesel - E1.35/L (£1.09/L)
So fuel still quite a bit cheaper than in the UK, especially Diesel.

The Bulletin has this story today. Or rather a version of it. A wrong version. "Port of Pollensa bar war breaks out" is the headline when it hasn't anything to do with the port. The Sunday closure is in Pollensa's Plaça Major. Poor.

Daily Bulletin - Thieves arrested

Isn't it a shame, that just like this country, the police catch these people, they go before the courts, get sentenced then are out re-offending in no time at all.Sometimes I wonder if the courts are really any deterrent, not only in Spain but here also.
