Mallorca’s moral stand against sins of S**galuf

Just seen the thread about Chivas - timing of item below is purely coincidental. I am not suggesting similarities between PP and Magauff.

From the Sunday Times today..... a piece about bad behaviour by young tourists in Magaluf and new measures to be taken by the local Police and the city fathers.

tinyurl.com/lm8uwcd "Mallorca's moral stand against sins of S**galuf The Sunday Times"

Here is a flavour of the news. Descriptions of tourist activities in the rest of the item is not quite suitable for a family forum:eek:

"The committee has come up with a code that will see drunken clients banned from entering their hotels after a night out and a clampdown on the noise coming from bars and discos, which will be enforced by local police. Anyone caught “balconing” — a term for hotel guests who jump from balconies or climb from one room to another — will be fined and evicted along with those who throw furniture or objects from their rooms."

"The pub crawl organiser, Carnage Magaluf, is to be shut for 12 months along with Playhouse, the club that hosted the night when the teenager was filmed. Playhouse and Carnage have also been issued with a joint fine of £43,500 and last week were given 15 days to appeal against the decision."

Re Magalluf, All well and good, but lets not forget who turned it into a hell hole. Going back many years, it was the bar owners that decided to offer the crazy drink prices that started the whole debacle. As so often is the case in life, people seldom want what they ask for. Magalluf enticed it in the beginning, now it's got out of hand they no longer want it. Be careful, as ye sow, so shall ye reap.:(

Agree, think it still the case that in reality none of the bar owners and club owners want to see the end of the stags and hens as they waste a fortune in their premises every year
