The small place in the square beside the off licence, Centric or something, its called I think. I think 2 brothers run it. Had a great paella there last year:b

Hi lala70w, as I said earlier Tangos is best for paella, we are all veggies and theirs is great.

I had a great one at Bar Llenaire a couple of years ago

The Restaurant La llonja does very good paellas and fiduas for very nice prices... have to taste it:hat

We always enjoy the one served by the Galeon, sat out on their terrace looking across the bay. Paradise!

Have to agree on Ca'n Ferrer! The only drawback was-Martin serving you! Not allowed to leave a single grain of rice!! Safer now he's retired!!!

pella

Just browsing the forum as it's only six weeks before we head out there and always like to catch up on goings-on with you regular guys.
Los Faroles on the front has been our favourite for ages!
Can't wait to try it again...

Re: pella

After 30+years in PP had my best yet paella at Brisa Marina on the front. Also their stuffed mussels starter is to die for!!

Re: pella

Totally agree - the Ca'n Ferrer does it for me ( also the best in terms of value ) Mussels seaman style between 2 as a starter with bread Olives and alioli and a seafood Paella for main - all washed down with a bottle of Jose Ferrer vino tinto.Rick Stein eat your heart out.

Re pella

pella?

Paella?:eek :eek

Welcome abbotsworld to the Forum.

Obviously a foodie yes?

Now it used to be said don't drink red wine with fish but hey in France we noted the French don't quite comply with that.

So, no doubt you were a few more nights in the Port so what other ways did you abuse foodie etiquette??

As I said welcome !!

Porto;) :rollin

Re: Re pella

Who says you shouldn't have red wine with fish - is it the law ? besides the local white wines are awful !!!!

Re pella

Hi again abbotsworld!

Personally I always believed no red wine with fish to be a load of wine snobbery tosh.

We often have it both outside and at home and always enjoy.

Interested to hear your comments about the local whites.

Our wine buff, is presently on holiday in PP and will no doubt comment in due course.

Never been called that before, has our Jane!!:eek
