(I'm not trying to steal this role, just keeping the ball rolling)

Who's out around crimbo? I'm coming back out on the 27th and staying right through January so NYE at the Club, 3 Kings, San Antoni (going to build a bonfire at U Gallet) and then enjoy El Pi from a safe distance!

We've semi lived here for 8 years now and adapting to the slow pace, I'm leaving my job next week and doing my own thing now so we'll be here a lot more next year. I just went for a walk up the valley and ended up looking at an acre of land on the opposite side of the road from Son Brull... I'm thinking Men in Sheds type deal?? I need something to do!! Oil painting, hiking, working on the Tren de Soller??? I'm allergic to cats so I cant work at the Cat Protection /Rescue....

What does everyone else get up to??

Congratulations on your change in work circumstances Bobley. Spending more time here can only be a good thing! 😀

We may pop back to the UK for a few days over the festive period but haven't booked anything yet. I'm ok not being here for Three Kings as by then I'm ready for some normality.

We love the fires and El Pi. I think that's my favourite festival of the year. It's fun to walk around all the bonfires, dodging the firecrackers and then the following day we enjoy a beer in the square in PP followed by an afternoon curry once the pine has been conquered. It's become a family tradition for us now and because it's so bonkers it's something I really look forward to.

As for looking for things to keep you busy, if we supply you with antihistamine can we rope you into some cat protection work. We could do with the help? 😅

Also, thanks for the posting this. It's nice for someone to carry it on👍👍👍

Do you play padel Bobley?...we are out from 29th Dec until the 5th and have been playing a few friendly games with other couples.

@PollensaRuss to be honest, last night I saw a chap feeding the cats up the Puig and thought it would probably do me a lot of good to help out. I'd be happy to do a few runs around the area even if it just gives you a bit of a break

@Rockape not tried padel yet... I'd probably be rubbish but there's only one way to find out! Mrs B would prob pass though, she's had all the mileage out of her knees...

Not too dissimilar - we've both recently retired and will be spending most of January in PP. Looking forward to the festivities.

its actually pretty easy to play and really not tough on the body at all....unless you want to go 'pro mode'! Mrs R isn't very good, but we've played with non playing friends and its a bit of non competitive fun. Not that I'm particularly good, but I basically try and keep the rallies going to help non players improve. Think table tennis on the ground. (But you need to play in pairs)

We'll be flying out for San Antoni and then have the pleasure of the Community Meeting for our block a few days later. Always something to look forward to - San Antoni that is!
It will be interesting to see if it's warm enough for a swim in the sea also ;)

Here's some info from the Culture Dept in Pollensa Council on their Facebook page:-
Enjoy, once again, the traditional Christmas concerts with the Choir of Pollença. We hope to see you there!
