Who is out in April?.

out for 4 days the end of april and have already booked my dinner at cellar la para for the thursday night , looking forward to seeing the blue sky warm air , a walk over to cala a walk round the old town of pollenca and alcudia , as soon as we land at palma everything seems better , cannot wait for it

Just booked my flights, out 12th April for 5 nights. Can't wait. Booked with Monarch and used my tesco clubcard points to get some money off!!

Also out for 10 days in April, from 20th through to the 30th. Was last in PP for a week over Christmas, but it was a little too quiet then. (We've never turned up at Stay before on a Sunday evening at 8.00pm to find just two people eating, by the time we left at about 10.30pm the numbers had increased to eight!). There was however, a nice atmosphere there for lunch on Christmas Day itself, restaurant was pleasantly full.

We actually arrive mid - morning on the Easter Sunday. Will most people be out for lunch that day,or will they be waiting for the evening. Would it be advisable to book somewhere or just take pot luck. Also, we're wondering how many of our normal haunts, (obviously Stay, perhaps La Lonja, El Posito, Corb Mari, Maxims ) will be open that day as I'll imagine Easter Sunday is quite a significant day in the local's calender.

Any suggestions / comments appreciated.

Very good point. As we are over a while before the Easter hols it does give us a chance to ask the restaurants, although obviously they will say to book! If we get dead set on a particular restaurant for the Friday and Sunday then I think we will book. As for lunch, its holiday time, of course we will be out! ��

I think you will find just about every restaurant will be open over Easter.
I really can only speak for El Posito and would advise you to book if you want to eat lunch there as most Sundays are extremely busy but more so over Easter .

My Husband and I arrive on Saturday night for a week. Throw cases in then straight out to Casa Villia!.

I am

A bit of a last minute thing.

Staying with a web designer friend who lives in Pollensa town for a week, travelling on my own which will feel very strange

I will be working online some of the time as I need to finish a project and I need a break and with a bit of peace and quiet I will get things finished with all that fresh air and clear thinking. ( that's my excuse anyway )

With the modern technology of the internet I will be logged in to my work PC and network all the way from Pollensa.

I need to find a computer monitor to use for a week which is the next task as my laptop screen is too small...

The Monarch flight was 'Free', I sold some old stuff on ebay and paid for the flight with the paypal so it feels 'free'

Must book a hire car today.

Hire car booked with full insurance paid as I will need to negotiate the narrow maze of pollensa back streets a few times.

Computer monitor problem solved by ordering from amazon.es for delivery to Pollensa using chrome browser for real time translation.

Keyboard, mouse and walking boots packed in suitcase. With a few clothes for me and loads of stuff I am taking to an expat friend that misses English stuff,
26 kilo fully stuffed suitcase

So hopefully I am all set up for a weeks working / walking miles and taking a few photos holiday.

Getting a big monitor home might be interesting..

We are here for most of the month - our second time this year already. Had a great fortnight in February.

Hi great to hear number of restaurants/bars open in PP. We are coming out 7th April, knew I should have booked PP. Can anyone put me out of my misery and give me an update on Cala San Vicente will there only be tumbleweed!!! Pleeeeese say things are moving. Are the supermarkets open? Might have to settle for cup o soup!!
Actually can't wait but any news welcome.
