Me!!! :):):) Coming over for the day! Well long weekend in Palma actually, always wanted to do that so decided on the spur of the moment to book next weekend, and will head up to PP for the day on Saturday, so excited now, cant wait to get back home even for just for a weekend. Worked out its our 20th anniversary this year of holidaying in PP, so looking forward to celebrating. See you soon!!

Mr & Mrs Pollencafan will be out next weekend
If anyone sees them sitting of the steps Of El Ancla looking dejected & confused: take pity on them and point them in the direction of a welcoming hostelry

I don't know if you will use this SWS but from 1st to the 19th February all trains and metro journeys will be free of charge :D. This from the Majorca Daily Bulletin

Train and metro fares for free between 1 and 19 February.

Public train and subway services in Majorca will be free of charge between 2 and 19 February, the region’s transport department announced yesterday.
There has been a series of changes to local public transport services and transport authorites feel it would be unfair to charge users before a trial period, to see how smooth services run.
Transport authorities have installed new ticket machines, access barriers and security cameras in different stations all over the island, and to avoid any unecessary chaos, queues or any other problems that might affect the users’ daily routine, a grace period would be the best solution for everyone.
By 19 February, and should the transport department be happy that all the new changes are running as expected, ticket fees will once again be applied.

Llucky you. I have wanted to do a long weekend off season but the flights are so expensive.Did you know of any deals for flights.

Hi SB, no special deals, we are in the southeast so can get to any London airport, we are flying out from Stanstead £83 each, and coming back to Gatwick for £53 each on Sunday, not bad. Hotel is £55 per night, just stuck a pin in and choose a modern one in the center, will let you know what it is like when we get back!!

Looks like the weather is picking up after tomorrow as the pressure rises again, still cold though, forecast for 9C daytime falling to 0c in Pamla Friday night, better wrap up well!!

Hope on the horizon ...

today's MDB online - Majorca Daily Bulletin
Majorca braced for coldest week of the winter

Palma.—...

After a weekend which saw gale force winds hit the island with a vengeance causing considerable damage, the Palma Met Office said yesterday that they would continue with their bad weather alert. The island´s emergency services are on full alert.

The Met Office said yesterday that snow would fall this week in mountain areas and warned of the risk of the high winds and freezing temperatures.
...

So far the Majorcan winter has been relatively mild but the Met Office forecast a freezing week for Majorca which is expected to last until the weekend.

Not in according to Aemet SWS, they are forecasting snow at sea level on Friday and an 85% chance of rain on Saturday, i hope they are wrong.

There are a few differing ones, they do not seem sure, but the pressure is rising which is the main thing, which means dryer, 13c and sunny on Sunday so some say!!

Just noticed this post. Re- Dejected and confused. Now come on roy, you've seen Mrs Pollensafan, That's enough to make anyone feel like that. Don't worry about the weather folks. We'll be there on sunday so that's a recipe for a pick up. You know the saying, " The sun always shines on the righteous " :)
