With the in-laws arriving on the 12th I hope their good weather luck extends to your September trip and it'll be a case of joining Sparky with the flip flops.

Youngest off to university tomorrow so going to take the opportunity to drive over towards the end of September. Something I have wanted to do for years. Tunnel booked for 24th September, hopefully to be in PP on 31st September. Have to be back in UK by 6th November. Very happy days.

Fabulous!
Have a safe drive.
Looking forward to a trip report about your journey. :)

Had a blast today, had a cycle ride this morning before the rain then a long lunch in el Casinet was funny to see how people reacted to the storm, some panicked some carried on as normal, two English people sat outside through the storm with umbrellas up under the canopy, when they came in to pay the owner said bravo and everyone cheered, he said Brandy, and they brought them over two glasses. Then when it cleared there was a rat on the Pinewalk outside brought out by the rain, a real Fawlty Towers moment, owner was banging on the glass trying to frighten it away, the wife said have you any cheese for it and the waitress was screaming saying don't open the door!
Moved on to sea.bar.is as the we're taking away the umbrellas that had been damaged by the storm and bringing out the gas patio heaters, so a real feel of the ending of the summer and the start of autumn, but still enjoying it, some sunny days over the next week, so looking forward to that too,
