Hoping to fly out 01 September for 14 nights and to celebrate our silver wedding. Had been having a few doubts as to what the situation is over there - but as staying in villa and hiring a car hopefully all will be safe.
Flying Ryanair so no danger of flight cancellation or refund !!!!

Annual May and September trips cancelled already. Transfered to October but decided to cancel that as well. Had already booked for May and September next year and just added March as well!!
Very sad/sorry to miss 2020 but due to age etc. decided to be prudent.
We hope that all that do go have a great time.
Hope for better outcome next year.

Fingers crossed ...

Out on the 6th for a couple of weeks, then back in November, or may just stay:)

Hello Everybody,
Just got back on line after a long absence (don't ask!)
Good to see you all still here. Hope you have all kept safe and well (as can be considering). Hoping to come out maybe September, just wondering if any major changes as due to several health scares .we not been for about 4 years or so. I see my favourite Daina is hoping to re-open shortly. How is Carlos doing at the IRU. I hope Bony is still doing okay at the best bar as I know he was having a few issues when we were last over. Would appreciate any news/updates from anybody there.
Cheers
Colandbev

As EasyJet cancelled our two weeks in September, I have now booked with Ryanair ! First time for us, hope it goes well ( 3rd to 13th). Can’t wait, little Ryanair approved bag is packed already !

Due out next Monday....no cancellation from hotel (in old Aludia) for 3 nights - then over to PP for 7. Desperately sad seeing what's happening to the hotels/restaurants/bars, especially the staff - let's hope they all survive til next year....will many still be open next week?

Hopefully on 12th....

Who is planning to come out in September?.

Hope to come out on Friday (Easyjet flights permitting) for 12 days can someone remind me what the current Covid restrictions are for social distancing, mask wearing etc. are as we do not wish to contravene / offend? :)

Masks to be worn at all times in all public areas except when eating or drinking, no smoking in any public areas, beaches closed from 9pm until 7am. Sitting at the bar is banned from 10pm. All this could change at any time ;).

Should have been our last day of 12 tomorrow after rebooking from late June. Couldn't go as work would not allow me to self isolate for 2 weeks and Debs has a couple of health issues and as insurance would not over, so decided best not to go.
Gutted as would loved to support the businesses in PP.
Booked up for mud June next year...fingers crossed.
Love to all in PP and stay safe.

Sounds as if it might be a bit wet next June. Sorry!

Just back from a 10 day trip - had, an overall, wonderful trip. Very sad seeing so many restaurants and shops clearly wanting customers to visit. Felt very safe and the vast majority of people are adhering to the restrictions (although I witness one British family of 6 adults stroll past Grand cafe 1919 with not one of them wearing masks). We ate out every night and had some fabulous food and it was great to be greeted by some long standing restaurant staff - pray to God they all survive the winter.

My wife and I arrived yesterday morning from Gatwick on Easyjet with just 3 other passengers!

So sad to see the airport and port so quiet but feel safer than at home. Hopefully the world will get back to normal soon....... :)

We were out first week of September and also felt very safe there. We had about 20 people on our Ryanair flight.
You are right it is so sad to see the Port and Pollensa so quiet. We were often the only ones with maybe one or two other tables at the most in restaurants. But we were always made to feel very Welcome and had excellent service. The weekends were a bit busier than week nights as more locals out and about. Just about had the beach to ourselves one morning when going for an early swim. Back again next June so hope all will be back to normal. I really feel for the shops and restaurants at this difficult time.

We were also out for a week in September. BA flight only had 30-40 people on. the Port was very quiet and had a very different 'feel' to it than it did in July. In July everyone was full of hope but now mostly sad! Restaurants all pleased to see us but many have already closed or had not opened at all. We usually come in the winter and feel that the restaurants that normally stay open in Winter will still do so.We will probably not visit our apartment again until quarantine is lifted - 2 weeks of staying at home even with a huge job list is not fun - but we will see! The lure of going back in the bleak days of winter may be too strong. Just to say - going through Heathrow no-one checked whether we had completed our locator form but we have had a phone call from Border Control on Day 3 after returning to check we were self isolating!

Only in 3rd day of quarantine and it will be a bit of a slog...as a result just cancelled 5 days in Marbella town next month. Some restaurants were busy (Osteria 15/Brisa Marina (my God - the tumbet)/Can Ferra/LosFaroles/the wonderful CafeMonges)...obviously helped by others being closed. Must mention a new cafe/bar that did unbelievably good cafe y cake and tapas (more like racion) - Cafe Meraki in the placa next to bony's.
