Hello and welcome Geoff yes here is a list of some places that offer free WiFi :- Internet Cafes, Cybercafes, Computers - Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca Majorca.
Many others also provide it .

Theres also a free council run wifi zone in the main square, you can sit there and pick it up, also reaches the apartments off of the square, but dont forget that it is not secure so dont do anything that requires a secure link, like bank stuff, best to use one of the bars that Sparky linked to.

I have also found with this one that you get interrupted after about 15 mins with various pop ups and adverts! That's when I log off pretty quickly!

We now have another option which is not free but will be very useful, especially for groups & families, who don't have wifi in their accommodation & 'need' it.

This is Wifi Rental. Starting at 39.90 EUR per week, you can now hire a little gadget - it is tiny & fits in your pocket - which acts as a wifi router wherever you are and will allow you to connect up to 5 devices - phones, laptops, ipads etc.

For the occasional visitor who doesn't want to get caught out by high data charges, I think this is a brilliant solution!

I think that you need to book the wifi rental online and then either collect at the airport or request to have it delivered to your hotel or accommodation. I'll find out if you can nominate a hotel to pick it up from as I'm not sure whether they will deliver to all accommodation.

the Wifi Rental company assures me that they can deliver to your accommodation - whether it is a hotel, villa, apartment... or boat (I assume when it's moored!).
