Is there anyone in the port who can give me some advice on employment/self employment for free. I need to have a chat to understand the issues and cost implications around doing both. It doesn't have to be professional advice - just someone who understands it.

To be honest i think you will get a better response on FB GG but you may need to pay for professional advice.

I am sorry i can't really help you but i do know it is complicated and costly to work legally here.

Thanks Sparky. I thought I would try on here as well. I paid some one to have a chat and to honest I feel like I was mugged because it was expensive and was of no use

You will need an accountant to advise you correctly. I worked in PP for 2 years and had a guy in Alcudia (can't remember who now as it's 10 years ago). Obviously it will cost you, buy not as much as if you get things wrong

What type of work are looking to do out there. If it's painting / plumbing / building etc. there is a lot of Brits out there working in the port, I would touch down with them for advice and your best options.
