It has been painted a light/mid shade of grey today.
Much, much smarter.

The dreadful black is history!

Pinchos ?

Mmmmm can someone please enlighten me ?

Thanks

We actually had really delicious pinchos on the Tapas Route when it was still Matchpoint. I wonder if the new place will join the Ruta?

Match point is no more! The new bar called 'Norai' opened last night and very nice it looks too. Gone is the awful black facade and everywhere looks very clean and welcoming. In my opinion a welcome addition to this part of the port.

Good to hear its open again. Used to love sitting upstairs looking out over the bay whilst playing pool etc with the kids.

I assume the upstairs is still open? Hopefully with the big open 'window'..

Any updates on this new place, hoping to try it out for a drink or tapas on the way up to the port?

Although I have only looked in, it's a great improvement. Friends say it's good.
They have been advertising live music on FBook

Sounds good, will try either on the way out on for a late one on the way back!

Noria tapas bar

Norai has had a wonderful make-over from when it was Matchpoint.

The upstairs area has got some snazzy decor now and there is a stunning huge wine rack covering two floors which has to be seen to be admired!

We stumbled up it by chance on opening night and have been back again since. The tapas were lovely and it was great to be able to see the chef prepariong the food in the kitchen. The young couple running the place have chosen some particularly good wines to serve there too.

Definitely worth a visit - especially with the spectacular views from the upstairs windows!

Looks very nice. Good pinchos-plus-drinks deals - will defo try it out. Only 8 weeks to go!! :D

I had the good fortune to be in this place twice last week.

Once for a drink on the top floor overlooking the port and the other time sitting outisde having toast and poached eggs for breakfast. Both visits were great.

This place is going to become the biggest hit in the port during the summer months and is exactly whta the port has been crying out for. Class

This sounds lovely - sounds as though it might be a bit pricey though?

Been in there three times since we arrived on Friday. Very nice and yes, fab view from upstairs.
We have a white coffee, which is very nice quality, and 3 croissants for €3. With that setting, comfort and price I'd say it represents great value.

And yes, definitely an asset to the port.

Thanks Nick, sounds very reasonable. What about the wine though!:)
Also do they have a full dinner menu in the evening or is it just tapas/light meals?
