Well, It was a holiday of First's.

First time in 30 years I have been there without my Beautiful wife
.
First time I have seen the pavement since it was done. ( dreadful quality )

First time I have ever laid on the beach and heard the birds singing at anytime of day thanks to the new road layout.

First time I have been in more danger of being run over by bikes rather than cars. ( never seen so many )

and finally, the first time I have realised the healing power of this
astonishing place. She worked her magic and no mistake.

Once again I thank all of you for your kind remarks over what has turned out to be the worst year of my life.

Well done for having the courage to return and so pleased it worked it's manic for you

Hopefully our paths will cross in PP one day soon

Xx

It's so wonderful that you felt able to come and no surprise that PP holds such a healing effect. Very best wishes for making the most of a different and emotional trip.

Very brave of you to come alone

I always find PP a very soothing place to be Just looking out to sea and the mountains Wonderful

Im glad you felt it helped you and yes it is lovely without all the traffic on the front

Best wishes to you

Hi mate,
I'm sure it was really hard, but you did the right thing going back. We were only talking about you two the other day, lovely memories.
Hope to see you there sometime

Well done on being so brave and so soon after losing your beloved wife. I lost my husband in 2004 and I was going to go back in 2006 but I backed away. I still read this forum daily and look at the webcam, but haven't ventured back. Thanks for sharing.

Well Brooksy, I don't need to tell you how horrendous the aftermath is, but I would urge you to take the plunge.
Once I had decided to go I imagined all sorts of Nightmare feelings about the outcome. However, once I arrived it never happened.
After all is said and done I always loved PP on a personal level and not just because my wife did.
The memories I had of our time there did not become bitter because of her absence. In fact the opposite. On returning I felt an even greater warmth coming from the old girl. (that's PP and not the wife ) sorry, there's my humour again.
Come on brooksy, go for it. Even if It turns out to be your worst nightmare, a week will soon pass, but my bet is you will wish you had gone back sooner..
Don't let your imagination prevent you from setting yourself free.:)

HI you two, So, you were talking about me the other day. Hmm, lots of folk do, but usually in words you could not print. As the song say's " We'll meet again ".
I always turn up like a bad penny ;)

Hi copper, Yes, I found it astonishing that making the traffic one way could have such a major effect on road noise. In fact, a lot of the time you would have thought the whole front was closed off.
All the best

Pollensafan, i am so happy that your visit was a success. I have never met you or your wife but i think she would be thrilled that you came back, i have always said PP soothes the soul and it certainly seems true in your case, well done you for breaking the ice and i hope to meet you and your wonderful sense of humour one day ;).

Hi Sparky

Of course you will meet him, as I will too - don't forget, Pollensafan is doing "THE RUN" this October!!!

Aren't you??;)

Thanks for that Madam " S"

" Soothes the soul " Wow, I could not have put it better . That is exactly what it did. :)

Don't you just hate folk with long memories :).
Have to say it might be more of a shuffle than a run.
Word of caution, I will not be held responsible for frightening children and animals so keep them indoors :D

Pollensafan, much respect to you to visiting. It must have taken a tremendous amount of courage. I am sure that Mrs Pollensafan was in agreement.
Take care.
Martin

I think it should be noted/////
The Great Naked run of the new one way system By Pollencafan Has been penciled in During the first two weeks of September.
Most Children should be back to school and people of nervous condition will be given a health warning.
Soapy Smith the Acclaimed Scottish Artist will lead the run on his motorised Scooter.
The Lady Myra And myself will be in Sol Y Mar awaiting the outcome.
This Event might be the climax to the Splash Down. Another non event.
