Anybody have any clue when the dates for the 2019 Wine Fair will be announced?

Sparky, any idea when they're going to announce these dates?

They announced the 2018 dates in the programme for the 2017 Fair - any word on the street about the hold up?

Thanks if you have any local knowledge about this!

Still no news on this, or even hints?

If i knew i would have posted, Easter Sunday is on April 21st so it could be 4th/5th or 11th 12th May . The growers have been harvesting so hopefully a decision will be made and announced soon ;).

Thanks - it's so frustrating as I'm waiting to book flights and accommodation, and of course last year they announced the date in the programme for that year's Fair!

11th-12th May 2019 seems to have been advertised for some time.

Hi Sparky. If you use your link above but click onto the main page the dates are in the top part of the main page.

Wine Fair 2019 update?

Any updates available locally on this event on 11th/12th May?

I'm thinking any changes to the usual format? Prices? Number of wineries represented?

Cheers!

It is the dates as published , times as always Saturday 1000 -2030, Sunday 1000 - 1400.
No idea of numbers attending but they have done some collaboration with the Priorat region so maybe they will be represented.

35 bodegas will be represented. Last year entrance fee was € 12. Of which 4 € will be credit to buy wine at the same fayre. The bag will include a wine glass, booklet with information on the wines and a pen. Take notes if you wish, it's amusing to look back the following day! Hic!

I believe that this year, admission to the cloisters is 10 euros per person with a 3 euro voucher to redeem against the purchase of a bottle of wine.

Thanks Sal - see you there!

Interesting that it seems Jose Ferrer is giving it a miss this year?

I understand that there will also be wines from Priorat and Montsenat as they have collaborated .

I notice Ribas are also not on the list but with over 70 wineries now on the island it will not be viable or worthwhile for all.

Of course, the list may not be totally accurate, as is often the case over here!
