This Friday evening , 15th March 2019 Derek Holt will be playing in Mulligans. Pete McDonna will be performing there on Sunday evening......and I guess that leaves room for St Patricks Day celebrations over the weekend too!

The hall next to the church (left hand side as you face the church) has been refurbished and turned into an auditorium for various events in Puerto Pollensa.
There will be a music concert in there on Saturday 23rd March 2019 with Tomeu Penya.
tickets are 16 euros when bought in advance from Club Pollensa in Pollensa and 18 euros per person on the door on the night.

Now that La Roca beach bar is open again, The Hustlers are playing there on Saturday afternoons.....and then do a gig in Hostal Borras in the evening.

It seems that the police have been visiting bars with live music and warning owners of heavy fines if they don't stop. A petition has now been set up demanding the council allow the music to continue, it can be signed in these bars, TECUN - NORAI - MULLIGAN'S - O'HARA - BORRAS/EL CULTURAL - NOSTALGIA AND LA ROCA.
There is talk of also setting up an on-line petition, i will post a link if this happens.

My Like is for everyone protesting and signing a petition not for the Music to stop !
I thought Bars were respectful about not finishing late and the Live Music is one of the attractions for us

Can someone tell me the regulations for live music? I presumed that bars, etc. had to have a licence for live music just like the UK and if you stuck within the criteria of the licence you would be OK.

It used to be that there was a set decibel level and it had to finish by midnight but i have heard of the police turning up in the afternoon/evening without checking decibel meters, i was in my local bar a few weeks ago and people were chatting, laughing and occasionally just bursting into song then at 10.30 pm the police arrived to say one person had complained so it had to stop. They seem to be making it up as they go these days.

Would it be worth visitors going into the Tourist Office to enquire (as often as possible) about live music events in the Port so the Tourist Office people know that there is a genuine interest and demand?

All subject to there being no uniformed presence!

Music Makers Sing Songs from the Movies this week, fancy a singalong then support this local group as they raise money for local charities.
