Provide or get advice on everything Puerto Pollensa, ask questions, gain confirmation or just become apart of a friendly, like minded community.
Here is a list of cases in Mallorca by municipality from the Balearic health ministry.:-
Alaro - 8 (population 5,572)
Alcudia - 18 (20,241)
Algaida - 8 (5,642)
Andratx - 7 (11,271)
Ariany - 2 (868)
Arta - 4 (7,845)
Banyalbufar - 1 (515)
Binissalem - 10 (8,567) etc etc etc etc
At least it make Pollensa one of the lowest scoring on that list with just 0.03%
The whole island average is 0.17% while the whole of Spain is 0.43% infection rate.
UK average is 0.19% and my area is 0.12%...
While the weather nice here in blighty I'm content to be stuck here just now but as soon as lockdown is over I'll be pining to get there again...
I too can’t wait to return, but for now that’s secondary to my wish for the good and resolute people of PP, who have behaved so impeccably through their lockdown, to be allowed to return to their normal lives as soon as good judgement allows.
However much I want to return, I certainly don’t want to if it puts PP residents at any risk. Despite owning our apartment, that we long to return to, I feel lucky to be a guest of the local residents and hope for their safety, and a return to prosperity for them.
On a trivial (at present), but noticeably visible aspect - it will be interesting to see if (or when) the sunshade poles & sunbeds are established on the beach this year.
Maybe phased also; 1 in 4 to start for good separation; then 1 in 2. Then ??? Difficult to know what the demand might be as the weeks & months progress.
These are the guidelines established by said plan:
ZERO OR PREPARATION PHASE
- Individual outings to exercise, scheduled for May 2.
- Opening of premises and establishments by appointment for individual customer service, such as restaurants with food service to be able to take home without consumption on the premises. The service must be provided with the maximum protection.
- Opening of individual training sessions for professional and federated athletes and basic training for professional leagues.
- Throughout this phase zero, the preparation of all public places will be intensified with signs and protective measures to prepare for the start of the next phase.
PHASE 1 OR INITIAL PHASE
- Depending on the criteria, the partial start of certain activities will be allowed, opening of small businesses under strict security conditions except for centers or large commercial parks "where agglomerations are more likely and mobility to travel to them is increased more".
- In restoration, the opening of terraces with occupancy limitations of up to 30 percent in hospitality will be allowed, the opening of hotels and tourist accommodation excluding common areas and with certain restrictions that will be raised in an order by the Ministry of Health.
- The opening of premises in phase 1 will include a preferential schedule for those over 65 who are the most vulnerable group to Covid-19.
- In the agri-food and fisheries sector, activities that maintained restrictions will resume.
- Places of worship may open, limiting capacity to one third.
- In the sports field, the opening of High Performance Centers is contemplated with reinforced measures and hygiene and protection and, if possible, shifts and if possible, medium training in professional leagues will be allowed.
PHASE 2 OR INTERMEDIATE PHASE
- In restoration, interior space of the premises will be opened with a capacity limit of one third, guarantees of separation and only for table service.
- Although the school year will begin in September, this phase includes exceptions with three purposes: reinforcement activities, ensuring that children under six can attend if both parents have to work in person and to celebrate the EBAU.
- Resumption of hunting and sport fishing.
- Opening of cinemas, auditorium theaters and similar spaces with pre-assigned seats and a one-third capacity limit.
- Visits to monuments and cultural facilities such as exhibition halls, conference rooms with a third of the usual capacity will be possible.
- Cultural shows can be held with less than 50 people in closed places with a third of the capacity and outdoors they will be possible when they gather less than 400 people as long as they are seated.
- Places of worship must limit their capacity to 50 percent.
THIRD PHASE OR ADVANCED PHASE:
- Once markers are met, general mobility will be made more flexible, but with the recommendation to use the mask outside the home and public transport.
- In the commercial sphere, the capacity will be limited to 50 percent and a minimum distance of two meters will be set.
- In restoration, the capacity and occupation conditions will be made more flexible, although with strict conditions for separation between the public.
As for the use of the beaches, not only to go for a walk as it can already be done, the Prime Minister explained that it can be done "from phase 3".
