Hi

I couldn't see a recent thread about wasps so I thought I would start one (sorry, if I missed something).

The wasps this year are worse than ever it seems. We have hundreds buzzing around the shallow end of our swimming pool every day. We have tried traps of various types. We have found and destroyed nests. But they keep coming back.

Has anyone got a solution? In particular, has anyone had good experience of a sonic device?

Thank you

A couple of suggestions here https://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/miscellaneous/14345-cure-wasps.html ;).

Thank you. Those solutions look good for keeping wasps away from the meal table and seating areas. I don't think they'd work so well around the pool. I'd welcome any additional things people have done to keep the wasps at bay

you can buy a spray in the feretariae that you spray round the surround of the pool this deters them from landing for water . it works for us. you also need to go on a hunt you must have a nest or 3 some place close look under the eves of all buildings sheds etc

Thank you. I will look for the spray. We have tried one type but it did not work well! You are right about the nests. We have found many small ones and destroyed them but there must be a big one somewhere!

its not easy try spot which way they go after leaving the pool .they are a pest the good news is the sting is not bad they are called Paper wasps not the same as the UK wasp. but they are a pain round the pool they use the water to build the nest
