When we arrived on the 4th, we all had our apps or print outs ready for scrutinising only for the 12 hi-vis vested officials to just wave all but the first 20 passengers through. As long as you had a phone or piece of paper in your hand they would let you through.

I travel almost weekly, and have had mine checked each and every time and all the passengers around me the same .
Please do not think you can wave a peace of paper or a phone and get through .

Agree, you should have the official documents required in paper or on your phone, however I was merely commenting that the day we arrived they were extremely lackadaisical about it and did not even look at the vast vast majority of passengers from my plane.
