Had seven wonderful sunny days in PP.

Food consisted of :-
El Angelo. First time I've been here but won't be the last. I suppose in summer I always find "the lane" too hot and would prefer to be seafront but it was amazing. Def be back.
Centric. Sitting outside on a warm night once again it hit the mark. Consistently good.
Stay. Seen it, done it etc but for a late afternoon in the sun it still is a fantastic place to go.
Celler la Parra. OMG this is queued out everyday whether for lunch or dinner and I was lucky I had made a booking. Paella was magic and cheap as chips. Just shows you that if you provide a brilliant service and food people will come at any time of the year.
Portofino (for takeaway Pizza). Absolutely rammed inside and their Pizza was fantastic.

Drinks consisted of :-
Bar Bon Dia. Hats off to Andy for opening for the football. I think it was worth his while but I suppose only he could confirm or otherwise. Probs about 12 people in???
La Bodeguita. You can set your watch by them. Great bar.
Dolc Sa Pobla for food and drinks. Sitting on their terrace post lunch with the sun beating down on you with a beer and a book takes some beating.
Bar Mora. watched liverpool v Madrid in here. Mobbed. One of the cheapest bars in town.
Neptuno. Yako is the main man and a pleasure to be in his bar/company.
New bar across from Dos Kanalles. Argentine family have it and it's gonna be a winner. Great location for afternoon sun.
Tecun. Like la bod you can set your watch by them. Fantastic effort to keep providing a service all year round and all hours too.

Llaut. My favourite. Violetta and Pedro have burst theirselves all summer and fully deserve a rest. I think it might be shut now though

Probably more restaurants and bars I've missed but that's the jist of it. PP is magical at any time of year and despite the rumours there is always something going on.

Totally agree on La Parra, Portofino and El Angelo - were some of our favourites over the years, along with Da Razza now sadly no more.

Wonderful trip report. Thank you for taking the time.
I'm not familiar with Dolc Sa Pobla or Bar Mora. I must look them up on Tripadvisor!
I long for the time when we can return to our favourite place. I'm worried in case it will be so different , so it's reassuring to hear your wonderful review.

What a great report…..thank you. We’re coming out in just over a week and so many of our favourite places have closed early this year, so it will be interesting to see what’s open and maybe try some new places. Glad you enjoyed your time in PP and glad to hear you will return.

First time I have ever posted , I love to read everybody’s posts , but never have the confidence to post , but here goes I apologise for my Spelling , grammar, and missing words.

Saturday 7th March

Up early for 6.50am for the Jet2 flight from Manchester, flying from the new terminal which is very classy , 30 mins delay and landed in rain .

First time using the new residency cards, very straightforward. My daughter went through the normal passport entrance and the difference in time was 35 mins . I dread to think of what the passport control delay will be in busier months .
Taxi from the airport rank to the port 85 euros
Lunch was Grand Cafe , beautiful club sandwich and coffee , service was very slow.
Nice run round the bay to the Kite surfing beach in cool weather for a change , the views of the bay never disappoint.
Tea/dinner was Osteria 15 , what a beautiful restaurant and staff . I choose the veal Milanese with saffron rice , my wife and daughter both went for the sea bass , 2 glasses of rose, 1 sprite , large still water , 1 coffee , 2 large beers and bread of aioli for the 3 of us for 125 euros.
On the way home we called in Noria for a nightcap , that turned into a late-night listening to Guillermo Segui .

Sunday 8TH March

Lovely walk on the pine walk to the illa dor for a lovely coffee and sparking , noticed the staff are kitted out in outfits . look very smart.
Beautiful weather today 16 degrees , tee shirt weather.
Stopped on the way back at Eu moll for a panini and beer . Love this little restaurant, the 2 ladies who own and run the restaurant are the friendliest and happiest people in the port.
Another run around the bay this time in beautiful sunshine.
Our daughter fancied a curry for dinner , In our 26 years of visiting the port we have never been to the Himalayan Indian restaurant , so we decided to try it .The food and staff were amazing , bottle of wine, 2 beers , water , mains , sides for the 3 of us for 128 euros. In my opinion really good value.
No Night Cap.

Monday 9th March

A wet patio , but beautiful sunshine and blue skies .
A morning of jobs and stocking up for the summer .
A Taxi ride to Pollensa old town for a walk around the furniture shops , whilst here we had lunch in a restaurant called La Scalinata , We sat inside and shared a pizza and pasta. Will be back for an evening meal in the summer.
Taxi ride back to the port for 12 euros.
Last visit of this trip was a coffee and slice of cake in Dolc Pablo. We love this little café , sat under the canopy with the rain coming down.
Flight 20.45 Ryanair back to Manchester on time and full considering the time of year.
20.45 flight with Ryanair back to Manchester.
Landed in the normal northern weather of rain and cold .
First time we have ever visited in the off season , but would recommend it , lovely to see the port wakening up and the beer stays colder longer.

NB- When you go through passport control there is not one food/coffee outlet open , the only shop open was WH Smith.

Nice little write up. Sorry the weather has been a bit poor but ideal time for a curry. I'll be back tomorrow to make sure all is good...

Glad you enjoyed Scalinata, I used to like it but a couple of years ago they got really slow and the waiters started being rude to some older customers on one side and a german family on the other while another waiter spent all evening sucking up an affluent looking customer... I was so sick to death of them I walked into the kitchen and gave them a ######ing... they were really nice to everyone after that... I cant believe I did that... I'm not sure they'll want to see me again... which is annoying as I live 100yds away

@Finally done it
Thank you very much for taking the time to write your brilliant trip report!
Very enjoyable read and very informative.

Did you just pick a taxi on arrival without prebooking?

Looking forward to hear about future trips.

How lovely to read such a comprehensive Trip Report….takes me back many years when we enjoyed so many of them. So pleased that you had a good trip and, like me, enjoy the place at quieter times. As a first post it’s a cracker! I look forward to reading more.

Thank You , Yes from the main airport taxi rank.
Thank you :)
I'd have always used the pre-booking with the likes of Conde, on account of late arrival times, but I'd say there's plenty of taxis at the rank during daytime hours.
