I’m home a week and found the entering queue fast. I got through but hubby had to join the family queue. Fast through there as well. We both went through the passport scan machines only returning. I hope we didn’t miss out a step?

Thats correct. You only need to do photos and fingerprints every 3 years

I Wish! As I’ve previously stated - we registered in December and came through ‘registered’ channel in March and April. In May we again went down the ‘registered’ route to EGates but EGates said NO! So had to go back and re - register - a few people also refused. Very fortunately there was not a queue. So when we travel in June let’s see if the EGates work! Just to say we also registered in Salzburg in January - wouldn’t accept that we had already registered - said different country!!! Hopefully teething problems but I’m not sure. At least Palma are very organised with many machines.

I was able to breeze though yesterday, a lady asked if we had been fingerprinted before ? We said yes and directed to the other machines, no passport stamping required, in fact it was the quickest we have ever experienced.

I hope everyone keeps posting their experiences of this…..it’s very helpful and interesting. So many different outcomes, and degrees of difficulty. Clearly there are times during the week when things get a bit chaotic and it’s useful to understand when those times are. I can’t help thinking that the new McDonalds (allegedly the largest in Europe), between security and passport control on the way home, could be responsible for some missed flights by the unwary at busy times.

Have to agree, we also arrived yesterday Friday morning 11am as we are also preregistered, it was the quickest clearance in many years, same time of day. Preregistered in Tenerife March this year and all seems to be good, straight to the egates and through no ques.

My understanding is that your wife will be
directed to a Manual Booth. Hope this helps as you cannot be denied entry.

arrived 7pm Tuesday breezed through .Fast tracked with disabled lanyard ....but waited over an hour in baggage reclaim

So the answer to the question about new passport after EESing the old one... the lady who was dividing the traffic between scanees and the scan less didn't know whether I needed to re scan or not... so i went right anyway and the wife went left into the bypass lane... I trotted on the inside line to the EES machines, there was no queue i pressed the GB button, slapped the new passport down, the machine thought for a sec, then said jog on mate and I exited the EES area... right behind the missus... so you don't need to re scan a new passport but its a shorter walking route so you may as well go past anyway

Not a good experience yesterday. Having previously registered and having used the egates at Palma/Malaga numerous times - yesterday the egate didn't recognise us.
Sometimes it's taken 30/40 seconds for the technology to recognise the face/fingerprint.
This time, after 5 seconds, the girl told us it didn't recognise us.
After explaining to a young fella what had happened we were directed to manned booth.
The just need to sort the technology out.

Arrived in Palma from GLA about 10am on Monday 1st June.
Our first visit in 10 years, in fact our first holiday in that time, for various reasons
After reading some of the posts on here, we were a bit apprehensive regarding the new entry system.
Neither of us being computer savvy......"old pumps"
It could not have been any easier. Plenty of staff on hand to help with any problems, which there were none.
Coming home, last Monday, it was exactly the same. Obviously at the start of June, it would not be like July or August numbers wise
but for our visit, we were worrying needlessly
