In a word

El Ancla (oops thats 2). It would be like a dagger in the heart. For decades I have sat there every lunchtime ( Except sat ,Closed ) and just gone into a hypnotic state just staring at the bay and thinking of nothing in particular. A nice chilled rosado and plates of delicious food that you won't find on the menu wink . I'll stop now or I'll have to dry my eye's at the very thought of it going.

Late afternoon/evening in the square at the cultural bar. A chilled beer or whatever your fancy and just watch the world go by and muse on what will have been another superb day in pp

I think you guys have covered every part of P.P from the bars,restaurants, people etc., so not much extra I can add. How I love sitting on the roundabout eating my Choc Mint icecream . Certainly the people who I get to know more each year.Whoever you see they have a smile on their face even if weather not good, Its Home from Home for me.

For me, it has to be the fantastic feeling of 'home' that engulfs me the moment I put my suitcase down. It doesn't matter which hotel or apartment we're staying in, it's the whole feeling of having arrived in a place that holds so many happy memories.

Great idea for a thread. Makes me want to go back right now rather than have to wait another 5 months. Anyway, my thoughts:
1. Boquer Valley walk – never come across a walk like it. Walk past the old farmhouse and suddenly you’re confronted with those massive hills on either side. You keep following the well worn track, passing the odd goat or two, never quite knowing what you’ll find at the end (this surprise is for 1st time walkers to the BV). The view is to die for, and that’s why I keep going back year after year.
2. Bruce’s Pro Cycle Hire shop in PP – have been hiring bikes from him ever since he started (it coincided with our first holiday 8 years ago). Fantastic service and great bikes. Taking out a “pro” bike is always the highlight of my holiday. How can you not like the area of northern Mallorca for a bit of pedalling – if it’s alright for Sir Bradley is certainly OK for Mr Jones! A few ‘pretenders’ have cropped up in last 2/3 years, but none give the same level of service as Bruce and his team.
3. As mentioned by Cumberland8 the cycle around the bay to Alcudia and on to Marina de Bonaire is fabulous, particularly early morning when the sea is like a mill pond.
4. The inevitable Seaplane – seeing this taking off early morning and picking up and dropping water in the bay is awesome.
5. The Kite surfers – what a sight when the wind’s blowing. Great opportunity for some “action” photography. How they never seem to tangle with each other amazes me.
6. Puig de Maria – It’s something you can see from miles around, and, as a result, when you climb to the top the view down is stunning. You wouldn’t want to do this walk in the middle of the day. Morning is best as the path is still in shade.
7. Lunchtime drink at the Capri Bar/Restaurant – discovered this a few years ago. Get away from the crowds walking towards the Pine Walk and sit under a parasol on the hotel’s private jetty…and enjoy several cold drinks! It’s almost like being on your private yacht, sitting just inches from the waters edge.
8. Finally, Il Giardino – certainly not the cheapest, but certainly one of the most consistent restaurants for quality and service. No holiday is complete without a visit here.

Nice one Alf Without the broad range of facilities there are, you would not be able to make a comparison or provide for such a diversity of taste. It is when you have too much of a certain type of place that you end up with the "Magalufs" of this world.
