Does anyone Know?

Hi all p.p. lovers.

A friend asked if I know of any places in Tenerife that are like Puerto Pollensa, she is visiting with a view to purchasing an apartment there, because of the weather. I don't know it at all, so wondered if anyone knows the island well enough to compare. Many thanks

Hi yes we used to own a place in , Los Gigantes its very like PP small port a bit hilly but very nice . And about 40 mins from Airport

Sorry but I have to disagree! We have been to Los Gigantes and there is a tiny tiny beach, a small triangle, it cannot be compared to the vast beaches of PP!! It is a pleasant enough place but not much to do and the restaurants and food do not compare well. There is a large ex-pat community there and everything is very English to cater for them. Obviously therefore a lot of people like it but it is really nothing like PP.

That wasn't the question the question was is there anything like PP in Tenerefe and the closest i would think would be Los Gigantes That does not mean it is the same as PP I was just answering Vals question not comparing PP to Los Gigantes

Actually you did say it was very like PP! This was Val's question. To establish if Los Gigantes is "very like" PP, a bit of information about the place is necessary in my view for comparison! I was just disagreeing with you as it really is nothing like PP at all. I think it would be totally misleading for Val's friend to suggest it was.

Los Gigantes

Actually i was going to say the same as Phil, in that the nearest you can get to PP is Los Gigantes. I know Tenerife quite well, Last holiday there in 2010. for Vals sake, the south of the island gets the better weather, so that would be the best for buying an apartment. PP though stands higher than ANY other resort ANYWHERE!!!!!!!
