Update on Can Torrens/ Bar Cultural.

[Sparky]

Can Torrens is now closed, the TV is gone, so is the screen in front of the kitchen and the bar stock, it's a shame for the owners and the many people who enjoyed eating there .

I am waiting to see what happens next .

[joey36]

What a terrible shame. We loved eating in Can Torrens, it was our favourite restaurant. Keep us posted on what is happening to the premises Sparky.

[Sparky]

Will do Joey, the rumour is that Manolo is moving Bar Cultural into the premises. This was muted when they had to move out of the original bar (now Circulo Cultural) a few years ago so it is probably what will happen .

[pollensafan]

Hmmm, sounds interesting. might we see " Cultural wars "

[Sparky]

Aparently it will re-open in 2 to 3 weeks .

What a shame, are they re-locating C'an Torrens elsewhere in the port ?

What a shame, are they re-locating C'an Torrens elsewhere in the port ?

I was told that they are looking for new premises .

[lollipop]

I saw some official looking people there this morning with the Can Torrens family, unless they were Jehovah Witnesses!!.

[CathB]

Such a shame it has been a real favourite of ours since it opened..

[joey36]

Thanks Sparky lets hope they find somewhere else, there are quite a few places for rent/sale which would make great Can Torrens.

C'an Torrens

Walked past the old C'an Torrens restaurant today and noticed it has a new name 'Casa Manolo', so watch this space.

[lollipop]

Manolo is the owner of the bar and also the old Bar Cultural. I believe they will be doing food but not quite sure what as yet. Tina will probably continue in the Bar Cultural where she is now.

[lollipop]

Casa Manolo now has its menu printed on the windows. It will be doing Hot and Cold baguettes. Pa amb oli about 6 different ones . Still no opening date advertised as yet.

[Sparky]

Walked past last night and the entrance has been dug up, it looks like they are putting in a ramp to make it disabled friendly.

[lollipop]

The ramp is there this morning. I am sure they will open soon.

[Sparky]

Casa Manolo (formerly Can Torrens) is now officially open .

Thanks for the update Sparky.Could you please use your detective skills to find out if Can Torrens is going to reincarnate at a different location.
