October was great wasn't it. I think it's been one of the best weeks we have had weather wise for a number of years. Pity about 11th (my birthday)....it had the worst weather all week

Agree Mike - our 3 weeks last month were the best weather we have ever had for that month - even at night. I took my house snugglies as usual for that time of year but they never got worn

OCTOBER WAS A SCORCHER

Last month will go down in history as the hottest October ever in Majorca, the Balearic Met. office confirmed yesterday.

Palma.—The Balearic weather agency Aemet yesterday described last month as “an extremely warm and dry” period.

Maria Jose Guerrero, head of the Met.office said that temperatures were on average three degrees above the norm for this time of the year.

Between 16 and 28 October thermometres marked on average between four and seven degrees above the usual, with Son Servera registering during that time the highest temperature, 33.3ºC.

Sparky, Now look, I know there are blue sky's but that is just too much. Crystal clear does not even come close to describing it. I could understand it if I had to spend 8 hours on a plane .
