just debating whether to go or not, its a nice social occasion but I get fed up with all the little thimblefulls of wine . so many different kinds mixed. maybe after leaving the Bar Mombasa at 3am I feel a bit delicate. I should add ,the fantastic Mombasa ,with possibly the friendliest most helpful barman/owner in town. and best music. dont miss it.

What a great event. My friend and i were there on saturday evening. It was very busy with a great atmosphere and excellent wine !!

It is a great event - survived from 12 until 6 on Saturday then had to go home - equipped with 8 bottles of lovely wine to enjoy over the next couple of weeks!

Long may the Fira del Vi continue!

Best buys from the Fira del Vi?

I think there were a lot of 'best buys' this year - to me the quality seems to have gone up, but not the prices!

Whites - Binigrau Nou Nat, Son Campaner, Ca Sa Padrina Mollet
Rose - Mortitx Flaires, Ca'n Vidalet Blanc de Negres, Son Campaner Blanc de Negres, Binigrau Rosat
Red - pretty much anything from Mortitx especially Rodal Pla, and many more

But the list is endless - just try one!

Stairway to Heaven from Castell Miquel is popular with my family. Today we visited the Bodega on the Alaro - Lloseta road, where we tasted the wines ,black olive paste and Olive Oil. One of my daughters had missed the winefair. They tasted 5 wines,(3 red, ! white and a rosada) and if you buy something there is no charge otherwise I believe they charge 5 euro's.
