Think this was the right area to post in?

Upon picking the car up from park and fly, we found the battery to be dead. They got us jumped and thankfully here to Pollensa but sadly it hasn't charged the battery at all as it wouldn't restart upon arrival.

Can anyone suggest where we would be able to purchase either a battery charger or one of those mobile powerpack jumpers within Pollensa?

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that if driving from Palma to PP didn´t charge the battery then it is a new battery you need.

Exactly or the alternator may have gone?
I'm no mechanic but maybe worth a visit to a garage for advice before you start making unnecessary purchases?

If you do need to get a new battery remember that diesel cars need a bigger battery than petrol cars.(90 Ahr compared to 60Ahr)

We had exactly the same experience and the local garage fitted too small a battery for a our diesel. Worked OK in the summer but come the winter it wouldn't hold the charge long enough. We then replaced it again. Bought ours at Alcampo.

Thanks for all the advice.

The battery is fairly new so I think it may well be the alternator causing the problem.

Tried the petrol station, no luck still need to try the Chinese Emporium!

For getting it to the garage for a look, need to get it going, preferably with the ability to drive it away from there as well. It's something that will be handy to have anyway.

C/Virgen del Carmen , I can't seem to find it on Google maps?

Thanks everyone.

The Garage opposite Petrol station sells Battery's .I have a charger you can borrow if you want to try that PM Me

Thanks for all the advice.

C/Virgen del Carmen , I can't seem to find it on Google maps?

Thanks everyone.

Try this on Google maps Med :- C/Verge del Carme, it's the first road behind the main drag of the frontline.

Thanks Sparky, I went and had a look, cheapest one was 65 euros which was a bit more than I expected.

Thankfully fil6699 was kind enough to let me borrow his which after wrestling with trying to get the battery out of the car for an hour, is now on charge.

Thanks everyone for your help.
