Majprop, I agree. As I said earlier it looks like a nightclub, aimed at under 25's. I suspect not many forum members will be regulars. I predict that it will provide plenty of discussion on here though once it opens!

"aimed at under 25's" - big mistake. They aren't the ones who spend the money. What a shame. I believe this is a missed opportunity. A smart club-ish environment for the over 30's would have been a much bigger boost for PP.

I prefer visit P.P. in the early part of the season and have never noticed Chivas being a nuisance. Don't know what things are like in mid August for instance, so can't comment.
Just hope the new 'night club' is not a 'trend' and the beginning of the end of P.P. as we know it! (as they say on star-trek)
Fortunately we have all got used to P.P. as a somewhat gentile family resort with lots of good ambience for a wide age group, children and grandfolks alike. We have so far survived TM / B / BK / IB / etc. Long may it continue.

Nothing wrong with Chiva's, just that it would be nice to have a smart, trendy establishment for the mature adult rather than kids.

Sorry but i have family visiting this weekend (ash cloud permitting ) having said that i really don't like the nightclub scene, never have, even in my youth. So i will gladly leave Nick/Smiddy or anyone else to report on this one.

Ok! I can now confirm it is definatly not going to be a club of the sexual nature, I have it on good authority from a very close contact of the owner.
So you can all breath easy knowing your offspring will be in safe hands.
