A couple of weeks late posting due to other commitments but better late than never, he goes. We were there from the 13th - 20th and had fantastic weather, we have been going to PP for over 20 years and this was the hottest September we could remember. We like to eat at a different restaurant every evening and spend our days deciding where we shall go that night, there was 4 of us, we had 3 definite restaurants and each of us chose another one.

Sat: Maxim - we decided to opt for MDD which I think was about 18 euros per head, we started with garlic mushrooms x 4, pork fillet in pepper sauce x 4, beers, wine & water followed with liquer coffees, bill came to approx 92 euros, excellent value.

Sun: O'Lume - started with a complimentary cava on arrival from Jaime to celebrate O'Lume's 10 year & 1 month anniversary. We started with crayfish, padron peppers & scallops gallician style x 2 followed by sea bass in martini sauce x 2, pork escalops & T-bone steak, for desserts we had black & white chocolate x 3 with coffees, brandys/tia maria, chocolates, wine & water. A fantastic meal and service for a very reasonable 138 euros.

Mon: Capri - Sat on the pier on a warm balmy evening we had lobster gazpacho x 2, padron peppers & salmon carpaccio, for our main courses we went for lamb with mint & raisins, salmon with cava sauce & entrecote steak x 2. No desserts but we had coffees, beers, wine, sangria & water, the bill was 164 euros.

Tues: Hotel Llenaire - Had beers on the terrace as we perused the menu and watched the sun go down on the mountains across the bay, we ordered gazpacho with prawn rice noodles, salmon & prawn bellinis x 2, roasted vegatables with tapenade. We then had roast lamb with rosemary potatoes x 2, entrecote steak & sea bass served with ginger mash for desserts we had almond cake with almond ice cream x 2, pineapple ravioli with cocnut cream & cream brulee. Excellent meal all washed down with beer, a couple bottles of wine & water, the bill came to 198 euros. (worth every cent taking into setting service & food)

Wed: Zarzales - A warm welcome from Yolande, we started with green been & bacon bake x 2, soup x 2 ,followed by cod with sobrasada x 2, suckling pig & lamb chops. to drink we had 4 small beers, wine & water followed by 2 liquer coffees. the bill came to 125 euros. We have ate at Zarzales plenty of times previously but felt the meal was OK without being special which it has always been. Will still go back again though.

Thurs: Stay - We opted for MDD, gazpacho x 2, soup & spinach crepes followed by chicken in madeira sauce x 3 & beef in cafe de paris sauce, desserts x 4 followed by chocolates & liquers, beers, wine & water all for 151 euros.

Fri: Can Joseph - Another favourite, we started with garlic prawns x 2, soup & eggs with chorizo followed by salmon in cava sauce x 2, cod Majorcan style & chicken in pepper sauce. Desserts were crème caramel x 2, chocolate coolant with mango sauce & chocolate brownie with ice cream. To drink we had 4 beers, sangria, wine & water. Total bill was 165 euros.

We also had lunches at Eolo, Capri, Hotel Llenaire, Cappochino, Neptuno & Corb Mari.

Highlights of the holiday (besides the food) were the fantastic weather, the hotel Sis Pins, meeting El Gordo whilst watching the Hustlers and being thrown out of Nostalgia at 4.15am because Colin wanted to lock up (spoil sport) not bad for 4 oldies eh!!

PS: the diet is not going well, back in PP in a couple of weeks, then its Christmas so may as well start diet again in January.

Just read your post Hamcas, well done on going to all those different places, it looks like you had a great time. It has given 'food' for thought on places to go to next year. Have you listed your top 5 from them - good luck
