Animal charity

Does anyone know a bar that collects for the animal shelter in PP. Throwing all our small change in a jug and its starting to overflow, we used to take it to Lulus up in Pollensa and we went once to the shelter but couldn't handle seeing all the abandoned animals. It's not a fortune but I'm sure it will help a wee bit.

What a great idea! I know that Melinda Lynam (telephone 615678668) collects on behalf of cat protection. She is based at the Hideaway restaurant in Gommar. I believe she also holds a bring and buy on a Sunday morning too.

I have it at the back of my mind that the Moixica vets by the post office have some connection with the animal shelter. I do know they are running some kind of dog show in a week or so for "waifs and strays".

Just checked, dog event on 28th April and they are supporting homeless animals amongst other good causes.

Hi Mark, you can visit, but its not really geared up for it, its just more for adopting, we took the kids a few years ago and how we didn't manage to come away with numerous cats and dogs I don't know.
Lovely people who run it, such good work they do in helping the strays of the area, but sadly so many to deal with. I know people send them parcels of stuff, I have seen pictures of their face book page, check it out, they post daily pictures of cats and dogs for adoption and updates of their events.
When we finally move over that will be one of our first stops to adopt a dog and cat or two!!

Appears from the poster that it is on 28th April at 10am in the 'old school' next to the Church in the 'Square' (Miquel Capllonch) - in Puerto Pollensa.
(You could always check with The Vets).

Went up to the vets today and they are grateful for any donations , no matter how small. I will empty our jug and take it up later and have now put a label on the jug for Animal charity for any of our friends and family who use the apartment.
